Distilled in 2010 at Benriness and matured for eight years in a wine barrel, this Speyside single malt has been bottled by independent firm Hunter Laing & Co. Just 246 bottles have been produced, each one presented free from chill filtration and artificial colouring as part of the First Edtions series of single cask releases.

The nose is floral with sweet strawberries and caramel sauce. The palate brings more spice with notes of fruit salad and chocolate, before a long finish with a fruity spice.

This single cask expression has been distilled at Benrinnes in Speyside before maturing for a decade in a single bourbon barrel. Bottled by Hunter Laing as part of the First Editions series, this expression is limited to just 347 bottles.

There’s sweet vanilla and buttery shortbread notes on the nose, with a hint of milk chocolate. The palate brings more sweet notes with custard and strawberry jam aspects, before a long and fruity finish.

Aromas of vanilla and sweet rich fruits fill the nose. The palate is smooth and sweet, with chocolate raisins and vanilla fudge. The finish is long, sweet and fruity

This Islay single malt was distilled in 2010 at Caol Ila distillery before spending eight years in a single sherry butt to reach full maturation. Bottled in 2019 by family-run independent bottler Hunter Laing & Co. as part of the First Editions series, this expression produced a total of 818 bottles at a strength of 46% abv.

The nose has classic Islay smoke and brine, with a clean citrus lemon notes. The palate brings rich peat notes, seaweed and bonfire smoke, before a long and peppery finish with lingering brine.

Nose: peat smoke and a candied sweetness combine initially, opening up to more coastal elements such as harbour fumes, old fishing net rope and sun scorched sandy beaches; there is light orchard fruits of apple and pear adding a freshness.

Palate: a full blast of Islay smoke alongside ash and charred oak; over-ripe peaches, aniseed, liquorice and a touch of fresh mint offer a counter balance.

Finish: lingering peat smoke, white pepper spice and some coastal sea salt.

Distilled in 2008 at Craigellachie in Speyside, this single malt has been matured for a decade in a single sherry cask. Bottled in 2019 at a preferred strength of 46% abv, just 240 of these bottles were filled.

The palate brings sweet toffee, fresh oak and walnuts. The finish is sweet with oak, vanilla and liquorice.

The nose has chocolate, tea leaves and zesty orange. The palate brings sweet notes of dried fruits and furniture polish, with herbal aspects which linger into the long and waxy finish.

The nose has apple, plum and raspberry notes. There’s sweet red berries on the palate, with toffee and dark chocolate, before a long finish with lingering pepper and spice.
