The nose has orange, mint and candle wax. The palate is well-developed with notes of toffee, tea and apples, before a long finish with lingering spice and pepper.

First Editions Glen Moray 2007 14 Year Old
$104.00 Availability: In StockA fantastic Glen Moray single malt. This is a single cask whisky, distilled at Glen Moray Distillery up in Speyside in 2007. It spent 14 years slumbering in a refill hogshead, from which it was carefully extracted in 2021. This has created a beautifully balanced dram, free from chill filtration and artificial colouration. From the master blender Andrew Laing, this is one of Edition Spirit’s finest, and is a yield of only 334 bottles.
The nose contains beautiful harmonies of sweet, fruity notes with bright citurs and creamy vanilla aromas. The palate gives more orangey notes, with a sweet caramel, and malty backbone. Expect a long, luxurious, gently oaky finish. Superb.

After thirteen years in a port cask, this expression was bottled in 2021 by family-run independent bottler Hunter Laing & Co. as part of the First Editions series. Aromas of vanilla and rhubarb fill the nose. The palate is creamy and sweet, with sultanas and butterscotch. The finish is long, fruity and dry.

There are rich medicinal aromas of cough sweets – notes of honey, blackcurrant and menthol all making an appearance against a touch of sweet tarry smoke. Over time there is dusty chocolate, sweet nutmeg spice and dried flowers.
The palate showcases flavours of dark chocolate with raspberry and coconut fondant, Turkish delight, liquorice and some Caribbean rum flavours. This is a dark, rich and luxurious whisky from a quality sherry barrel.

Bright, sweet aromas meet you on the nose, with summer fruit, vanilla, and caramel sauce. The palate is big, full, and stuffed with vanilla, toasted barley, and a little hint of vegetal oiliness. Expect a long, clean finish, with oaky dryness on the exit.
