    This incredible Highland Park single malt has spent its lifetime maturing in oak casks before being finished in an octave for nine months. It was bottled in 2021 by Duncan Taylor exclusively for The Whisky Shop at a cask strength of 54.4% abv. This is a very rare single cask expression, with just 64 bottles produced.

    On the nose, expect wilde berries, honeycomb, and fresh cinnamon. The palate is full of millionaire shortbread, toasted marshmallows, and a subtle hint of fresh honey. These flavours melt into warm vanilla and fresh pineapple in the finish.

    A rare Glen Ord bottling, this 38-year-old whisky from The Singleton distillery has been made using double-maturation, with this style of ageing being the first of its kind for the distillery.

    In the pursuit of exceptional flavour, Maureen Robinson, The Singleton’s Malt Master, matured the liquid initially in American oak barrels for 12 years, before being moved over to a selection of bourbon, Pedro Ximénez sherry, Oloroso sherry and new oak casks for a particularly long second maturation – the longest in The Singleton’s history in 26 years! Created to be shared and enjoyed, the Glen Ord 38 Year Old was bottled at 49.6% abv. 

    The nose is mellow, sweet and fruity, with aromas of red apple, pineapple and candied citrus fruits. Full-bodied, the palate is creamy and vibrant, kicking off with sweet notes of fudge before moving into a spicier and fruitier profile. Baked Apples and vanilla ice cream are rounded off with a dash of autumnal and warm peppery spice. The finish is very long, with a sweet warmth and ginger spice lingering in the aftertaste.

    The nose has a kick of spice straight away, followed by liquorice, sweet citrus and pears, with a hint of coffee. The palate is rich and sweet, with Turkish delight, orchard fruits, rich oak and creamy caramel with hints of exotic spice. The spice lingers alongside a long and sweet finish.

A demonstration of Hebridean island artistry, this expressive single malt was distilled in 2004 and spent 17 years maturing in Oloroso sherry casks. A small batch release of 11,124 bottles, this is free from chill filtration and colouring. Arriving at a punchy 55.9% abv, this is a proper sherry cask whisky. Arriving in bespoke packaging, this is a stand-out limited-edition release from Tobermory.

    The nose is packed with toffee, caramel, almonds, and blackcurrants, with a little wisp of spice. Rose petals, mango, walnuts, dark cherry, and creamy toffee is balanced out with toasted oak and hints of leather. The finish is dry, nutty, and with a kick of spice.

    The Tobermory 2007 Sherry Finish is a warm, sweet and inviting expression from the Island distillery. Distilled in November 2007, the whisky spent the majority of its maturation period in refill hogsheads before being finished in sherry butts for 22 months. It was bottled in June 2019 at a robust 62.4% abv. Like all Tobermory single malts, it is free from chill filtration and artificial colouring.

    The nose is sweet and rich with dried fruits, honeycomb, and subtle floral notes. The palate is full of notes of honey-baked peaches, brown sugar, and caramel. The finish is sumptuous and lingering with hints of rich dark chocolate.

    The new Tobermory 23 Year Old is like the return of an old friend: the liquid was distilled and filled into whisky refill hogsheads in June 1996, before being released as the popular Tobermory 15 Year Old back in 2008. This expression took the original liquid from the 15-year-old, and then transferred it into Gonzales Byass supreme quality casks in July 2014. Bottled 7 years later at 46.3% ABV and without chill-filtration, the final result is an exquisite sherried malt with a natural, deep rose gold colour.

    The nose is sweet and citrussy, with vanilla, ripe oranges, fruitcake and a hint of cocoa. The sherry influence is obvious on the palate, followed by more sweet notes of salted toffee, vanilla fudge, candied citrus and floral honey. The finish is rich in caramelised walnuts and has a subtle salty undercurrent that lingers on. Gorgeous.

    Carefully matured in Gordon & MacPhail’s casks with spirit from Tormore, this 26-year-old dram is an enchanting dram. A yield of 596 bottles, this was distilled in 1994 and bottled on the 18th of May 2021. Matured in a first fill sherry butt, this Speyside dram is free from chill filtration and has a natural colour. It is bottled at 58% abv.

    Expect notes of dark toffee, fruitcake, and candied orange peel. These aromas transform into the palate, accompanying notes of dark chocolate, oak, and spiced plum. The medium finish is one with a roasted hazelnut inflection.
