This Highland single malt is distilled at Tullibardine, a family-owned distillery in Blackford, Perthshire. Matured initially in first fill ex-bourbon casks, this expression receives a second maturation in 225 litre Sauternes wine casks from which it takes its name.

The nose has hints of lime with oatmeal and vanilla. The palate brings tropical fruit notes with pineapple and orange zest, before a deliciously creamy finish.

‘Boat Captain’s Brew’ is a single cask expression from Bunnahabhain Distillery, bottled by Wemyss Malts. This 28-year-old whisky was distilled in 1990 in a single sherry hogshead for just under three decades, before being bottled at 46.8% abv. Highly-limited, just 245 bottles were produced. 

Toasted almonds, shortbread and sweet biscuits fill the nose. The palate has more sweet notes of a strawberry custard tart and vanilla, and aftertime becomes oily with a maritime feel – like a Captain’s boat engine! Sweet espresso and traces of wood smoke linger in the finish. 

‘Untold Riches’ is a single malt whisky from Bunnahabhain Distillery, bottled by Wemyss Malts. To create this 28-year-old expression, the blenders from Wemyss Malts carefully selected 31 hogshead and sherry butt casks from several parcels of old, unpeated Bunnahabhain to blend into a spectacular single malt. The resulting whisky has been bottled at 49.1% abv, without chill filtration or added colouring.

The nose has an abundance of rich cereal notes, alongside dark fruits, leather and maraschino cherry. The palate is full-bodied and smooth with brown sugar, pecan, banana bread and sticky toffee pudding. Chewy caramel lingers in the finish with a kick of mild spices – think saffron, clove and nutmeg.
