An exclusive The Octave expression, specially bottled for The Whisky Shop, this premium whisky was distilled at Laphroaig distillery on Islay. Aged by Duncan Taylor for 11 years in oak casks, with a three month finish in a reconstructed ex-sherrywood octave casks. There are only 86 bottles in existance, decanted at 55.6% abv.

Expect fresh aromas of sweet peat, bonfire embers, lime and salt and pepper. On the palate we find flavours of citrus, sherry, cinnamon and plenty of smoke on the palate and throughout.

A rare limited-edition bottling from the famously smoky powerhouse that is the Octomore range, this single cask release is one of only 300 bottles. Filled from a 2nd Fill Rivesaltes cask, which once held a delicious, fortified dessert wine from the South of France, the liquid has an added sweetness alongside the typical Octomore smoke. Bottled at 56.3% abv, this 12 years old sits at 156ppm.

On the nose, hard sweets, cooking spices, and nuts, all tangled together with a waft of wood smoke. The palate adds richness with wine-soaked dried fruits, oak, leather, and brown sugar. The finish signs off with a traditional smoky signature, lingering with slightly herbal notes.  

Crafted with Islay barley grown only two miles from the distillery, this dram delivers a cereal-forward flavour profile celebrating the impact of the farming community who grew the grain. Head Distiller Adam Hannett used this grain peated at 214.2PPM, maturing in a combination of ex-American whiskey casks alongside second-fill wine casks, before bottling after five years at a massive 61.4% abv.

The nose opens with sweet biscuits, stoned fruits, apricots, peach and honeyed pears. The palate is shines with smouldering peat and delicate oak, followed by floral gorse, creamy porridge and sweet toffee. The finish has earthy smoke, malt, and barley sugar.

Aged for five years in a combination of first-fill bourbon barrels and re-charred bourbon casks, Octomore 15.1 has been peated to 108.2 PPM and bottled at a robust 59.1% abv. Bruichladdich have excelled once again with their super heavily peated annual release, with .1 serving as the backbone of each series.

Expect aromas of caramel, vanilla custard and sweet malt on the nose, with a palate of mango, banana, apricot jam, vanilla and toffee. The peat smoke explodes in the finish alongside sweet charred oak and a fresh marine crispness.

Octomore 15.4 10 Year Old is a powerful release from Bruichladdich. Matured for a full decade in American oak, Pineau des Charentes, Pedro Ximénez sherry and red wine casks. This single malt forms part of Series Fifteen is made using 100% Scottish mainland Concerto barley malted to a formidable 107ppm.

Bottled at 52.2% ABV, the nose delivers sweet dried fruits, rich butterscotch and molasses, all wrapped in an assertive yet refined peat smoke. The palate is bold and complex, combining smoky intensity with layers of dark sugar sweetness, fortified wine richness and warming spice. The finish is long and evolving, with lingering peat, gentle sweetness and spiced notes.

Crafted from 100% Scottish Mainland Concerto Barley, this single malt has been matured for five years in first-fill bourbon barrels. Distilled to a powerful 101.4 PPM and bottled at a robust 69.3% abv, it delivers both intensity and finesse.

The dram opens with waves of pronounced peat smoke, softened by salted caramel sweetness and hints of honeyed melon and apricot. Layers of chocolate and coconut add depth, balanced by a touch of earthy minerality. The finish is long and smoky, leaving a lasting impression of richness and complexity.

Since its debut in 2008, Octomore single malt has consistently challenged traditional notions of whisky making. This Octomore Single Cask is matured and bottled exclusively in Islay and hand-selected by Head Distiller Adam Hannett. It packs plenty of the brand’s iconic robust peat profile and is a release not to be missed. Limited to just 246 bottles and exclusive to the United Kingdom this 11 Year Old was distilled in 2013, having been malted to 107PPM, and aged exclusively in a first fill bourbon cask.

Expect a nose of smokey bacon, vanilla, bonfire, and costal notes. The palate features chocolate, caramel, with smoked malt. The long finish features the classic Octomore mix of sweet vanilla, coconut, and honey alongside the signature intense smokiness.

This single cask Balmenach has been aged for 15 years in a single red wine barrel, before being bottled as a part of Hunter Laing & Co.’s Old Malt Cask collection. The traditional Speyside single malt is presented at 50% abv, free from chill filtration. One of only 242 bottles.

Expect aromas of marzipan, baked apples and sugared meringues, with a palate of fruit cake, liquorice and ginger, before a delectable sweet-spice finish. 

Distilled, matured, and bottled in Scotland by Hunter Laing, this Highland release comes from the Clynelish distillery. A single cask offering, the liquid was matured in a refill hogshead for 16 years before being released as one of only 362 bottlings in September 2025.

Bottled at 50% abv, you can expect a nose of sweet smoke, honey, and toffee apples, leading to a palate of liquorice, smoked ham, and butterscotch. The finish is long and complex, with a building, lingering flavour of dry oak.
