Nc’nean Organic Quiet Rebels Amy
$82.00 Availability: In StockNew for 2024 as part of their Quiet Rebels series, Nc’nean Organic Quiet Rebels Amy is in tribute to the distillery’s Head of Sustainability, Amy Stammers. With such an eco-conscious team as Nc’nean, it’s easy to understand why blender Matt Hastings chose Amy as the figurehead to partner with on this release.
Bottled at 48.5% abv, this non-chill filtered and natural colour liquid was finished in ex-Maury casks from a small organic vineyard in France, a farm which follows the biodynamic principles such as following the lunar calendar. These casks were then blended with Nc’nean house style STR red wine and ex-Bourbon casks to create this moreish release. Expect notes of brown butter muffins, citrus, toasted nuts, and savoury flavours.

Nc’Nean Organic Quiet Rebels Simon
$80.00 Availability: In StockThe fifth release in Nc’nean’s much-loved ‘Quiet Rebels’ series, this release is a celebration of yet another integral person at the Nc’Nean distillery, Simon, one of their distillers.
This organic single malt was first matured in shaved, toasted, and re-charred red wine casks. A self-confessed beer enthusiast, Simon’s selected finishing casks for this release are something truly special – stout casks from Scottish brewing legends Innis & Gunn, which, in a lovely full-circle moment, had originally held Nc’nean whisky. The result is a rich and indulgent dram, full of depth and character.
Bottled at 48.5% ABV, the whisky opens with aromas of chocolate brioche and coffee fudge cake, followed by a palate layered with sweet cherry jam, cocoa, and gentle baking spice. The texture is smooth and mouth-filling, with a warming finish that lingers beautifully.

Bottled in June 2025 at 50.7% abv, with natural colour and no chill filtration, it captures the robust character of the region.

Availability: In StockFine single malt whisky has been made in Oban for over 200 years, in one of the oldest licensed distilleries in Scotland. In effect, the town grew up around the distillery and since its foundation in 1794 it has played a crucial role in local life. Oban is made using only the finest barley, malted to the distillery’s own particular specification. This particular expression is one of Diageo’s Special Releases 2022 and boasts an illustration of The Celestial Blaze. Matured in a combination of refill and new American oak before a double maturation in ex-sherry and Amontillado seasoned casks, the result is a particularly smooth and gentle maritime dram.
Expect soft aromas of sea salt and wool on the nose. The palate brings grape, more sea salt, and parma violets before leading into the creamy finish with hints of spicy pepper and sea air appearing at the close.

This unique process – which increases the expose of the liquid to the cask wood – combined with the expert nose and palate of Malt Master Dr. Matthew Crow, delivers a classic rich, smooth Oban expression. This whisky is rich and fruity in typical Oban style, but with a more pronounced maritime and citrus character than the distillery’s signature 14 Year Old whisky.
Charles Maclean’s official tasting notes: Burnished copper in colour. A faintly oily nose, with brine, dried seaweed, sanded teak, and trace of fresh apples. At full strength the texture is oily and full-bodied; sweet overall, slightly salty, spicy across the tongue and in the finish; well-balanced, with lingering warmth and an aftertaste of almond cake.
