An incredible release from the now-silent Port Ellen distillery. This 1979 vintage single cask release comes from independent bottler Douglas Laing as part of their Old Malt Cask series. Released in 2001, there are only 330 bottles of this dram available. It is free from artificial colouring and chill filtration.

This rare Speyburn expression has been aged for 16 years in a single sherry butt, before being bottled by Hunter Laing & Co. as a part of their Old Malt Cask range. Presented at 50% abv, free from chill filtration. One of only 610 bottles.

Expect aromas of stewed apple crumble and sweet dried fruits, which lead to a palate full of nutmeg, cinnamon and fruit jam. A long, lingering and enjoyable finish rounds off this treat of a dram.

Distilled in May 2009, the Old Malt Cask Tamdhu 16 Year Old PX Cask HL21828 is a Speyside dram bottled at 50% abv and packed with flavour. Having matured in a PX Hogshead, you’ll find the nose packed with aromas of cinnamon, forest fruits and dark chocolate. The palate goes on to reveal red berries, toffee and wax, before coming to a close on notes of lingering sweet spice. 

Bottled by Hunter Laing & Co. to commemorate the launch of The Ardnahoe single malt, this expression from Tamdhu distillery has been matured in a single sherry butt for 16 years. Presented at 50% abv, the Speyside whisky is one of just 388 bottles.

Prunes, raisins, tobacco and dark chocolate on the nose, before flavours of red fruits, pepper and oak spice on the palate. The finish is long and lingers with touches of pepper and tannin.

The second in Old Pulteney’s Coastal Series, this expression was firstly matured in second-fill bourbon casks, before being moved to hand-selected Ruby Port pipes and barriques to absorb the rich flavours of the delicious fortified wine native to the Douro Valley of northern Portugal. This perfect partnership of coastal heritage results in a fragrant, fruity and rich Maritime malt. Bottled at 46% abv.

On the nose, aromas of dried fruits, buttery vanilla, candied orange peel and ginger bread swirl amongst deep undertones of cherries, marzipan and dark chocolate. The sweet and spicy palate brings notes of baked apples, caramelised sugar and cinnamon pastries, with hints of rose water and sea salt before a finish of warming spice and plum jam sweetness.

Half a century in the making, this remarkable expression brings together the rugged character of Scotland’s coastline and the Mediterranean warmth of an Oloroso Sherry Butt.

Bottled at 43.1% abv, you’ll get notes of briny sea air mingling with dried fruits and dark chocolate, tinged with citrus and sea salt. The palate is all waves of sherry sweetness giving way to delicate peat and oak, with that signature saline quality. This dram’s finish is long and considered, lingering pleasantly long after the last drop.

From the creator of Sheep Dip comes another exceptional blended whisky! The name, Pig’s Nose, comes from the saying “smooth as a pig’s nose” – a sentiment that perfectly describes this ultra-smooth dram.

On the nose, there are aromas of malted bread, orchard fruit, and sweet oats. The palate is relatively gentle with sea salt and malt at the forefront before leading into the medium finish which is rich and creamy with notes of caramel.
