Description
From revered independent bottlers Hunter Laing, this striking single malt was distilled during the golden era of peated Brora whisky, in the early 1980s. Matured in a single refill cask for 40 years, and bottled at 47.4% abv, the special expression comes presented in a gorgeous oak display case. Only 50 decanters available.
The nose opens with aromatic sweet stewed apple, honey, apricot and the faintest hint of smoke, before a waxy palate of soft fruits, peaches and a touch of orange. Mineral notes and gentle touches of green tea follow, leading to a long citrusy finish with a final wisp of smoke.
