Description
Peated to the same level of 128.9PPM as the 14.1 release, although diverging in flavours due to the influence of wine and sherry casks in the marriage. In particular, Head Distiller Adam Hannett chose ex-Oloroso and Amarone French oak casks to impart sweet nuttiness, before bottling at 57.7% abv.
The nose opens with cinnamon, leather, waves of smoke and red fruit, with cereal and subtle tobacco. The palate showcases astringency from the wine, with barbecue sweetness, fruit cake, and more dried red fruits. The finish is smouldering, salty malted barley.
