Description
Crafted from 100% Scottish Mainland Concerto Barley, this single malt has been matured for five years in first-fill bourbon barrels. Distilled to a powerful 101.4 PPM and bottled at a robust 69.3% abv, it delivers both intensity and finesse.
The dram opens with waves of pronounced peat smoke, softened by salted caramel sweetness and hints of honeyed melon and apricot. Layers of chocolate and coconut add depth, balanced by a touch of earthy minerality. The finish is long and smoky, leaving a lasting impression of richness and complexity.
Since its debut in 2008, Octomore single malt has consistently challenged traditional notions of whisky making. Matured for five years, crafted with super-heavy peat, and bottled near cask strength, it remains a whisky of striking intensity and balance. Its unexpected refinement has earned it the name The Impossible Equation. More than a whisky, Octomore is an experiment in pushing the boundaries of what single malt can be.
