The Glasgow 1770 Bourbon Cask Matured 8 Year Old is a bold new addition to the distillery’s range, celebrating the spirit of the city’s whisky-making. This ongoing release brings together equal parts of the distillery’s peated and unpeated single malt, marrying six carefully selected first-fill ex-bourbon barrels.

Bottled at a robust 54% ABV, this whisky opens on the nose with floral honey and creamy vanilla, lifted by a gentle wisp of sweet smoke. Hints of toffee apple and buttery citrus add a playful brightness. The palate is rich and velvety, unfolding layers of vanilla cream, tropical pineapple, and juicy clementine, all wrapped in notes of malty shortbread and gentle oak spice. The finish lingers long with vanilla sweetness, soft smoke, and warming oak, a perfect balance of light and dark from the two whisky styles within.

Glasgow 1770 Single Malt Scotch Whisky Constantia Wine Cask is a limited release, matured initially in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels before being finished for 1 year and 10 months in rare South African Constantia dessert wine casks. With just 980 bottles available worldwide, this five-year-old expression is a truly distinctive addition to any whisky collection.

Bottled unpeated at a bold 56.6% ABV, this double-distilled whisky showcases a vibrant fruit character with aromas of fresh apricot, ripe peach, clementine, and rich vanilla, alongside delicate floral notes. The palate bursts with juicy fruits, floral tones, and a deep richness from manuka honey, pink grapefruit, and sweet almond. A marriage of three carefully selected casks, it offers a luxurious, long finish with hints of dark chocolate, honeyed sweetness, and a whisper of fresh ginger. 

The whisky that started it all for the Glaswegian distillery. A fresh and fruity dram, it combines concerto barley with the purest spring water from Loch Katrine from the hills above Glasgow. A slow distillation aids in a sweet, fruit new-make, which is matured in ex-bourbon casks including a finish in American virgin oak. Bottled at 46% abv, free from chill filtration and at natural colour.

Aromas open with dried dark fruits, tropical notes, biscuit and fresh cut grass. The palate has sweet butterscotch with a creme brulee char, pear, dates, almond and shortbread. The finish showcases marmalade, nutmeg and wood spice.

From the Glasgow Distillery Co, this limited edition release is a marriage of four first-fill bourbon casks, which completed a second maturation in Hungarian Tokaji casks for three years and six months. An unpeated expression, filled into just 1300 bottles at 54.8% abv in 2024.

The nose opens with rich tropical fruit, oranges, dried apricots and soft toffee, and hints of floral jasmine. The palate is rich and robust, with flavours of floral honey, mango, pineapple, orange peel and a hint of nutmeg and cinnamon, before the finish brings forth creamy cashew nuts, planed oak and a lasting soft peppery spice.

From The Glasgow Distillery Co., comes the Glasgow 1770 Triple Distilled single malt Scotch. The mix of concerto malted barley and water from the pure Loch Katrine is slowly distilled three times in traditional copper pot stills. Doing so in order to remove oiler compounds from the liquid, the resulting whisky is an incredibly light and smooth drink. Aged in a combination of ex-bourbon and virgin American oak casks, it is bottled at 46% abv and is free from chill filtration with natural colour. A sophisticated and well-balanced single malt from the Scottish Whisky Distillery of the Year 2020. 

The nose arises scents of stoned fruits and caramel, leading to roasted nuts and aniseed. A touch of vanilla infused tea follows. On the palate, flavours of New York cheesecake, soft pears and spicy cocoa. To finish, that vanilla essence goes on and on.

This Highland single malt has been aged for 16 years in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks. It was initially released in 2015 as part of Dewar’s The Last Great Malts series. It is a deliciously sweet, spicy, and fruity dram.

The dram opens with aromas of caramel, toffee apples, and butterscotch before moving into a palate of orange zest, lemon peel, and baking spices. The finish is full of pear, spiced oak, and peach.

The Aberfeldy 16 Year Old Steven Cox Limited Edition is a beautiful combination of modern Scottish art, and Highland whisky craftmanship – making it a truly spectacular collector’s piece.

A limited-edition bottling, the release features a captivatingly designed presentation box made in collaboration with renowned artist, Steven Cox, who has created packaging inspired by the rugged Scottish landscape from which the liquid inside hails.

Bottled at 40% abv, the liquid itself was matured in a combination of first-fill Bourbon and Sherry casks, offering a rich and balanced character that showcases the distillery’s trademark honeyed smoothness with added depth and warmth.

Expect notes of sherry and fruitcake, with dabs of rich dark chocolate and a soothingly rich, mouth-coating finish.

Aerstone Sea Cask is a 10 Year Old single malt from the Ailsa Bay Distillery, the casks not quite originating from the high seas but which soak up that salty maritime air at the warehouses by the warm West Coast in Ayrshire. Curated by William Grant & Sons Malt Master Brian Kinsman, Aerstone aims to help new Scotch drinkers simplify and navigate flavours easily through clear taste descriptors. Enjoy iconic caramel, vanilla and almond flavours of American oak with some orange and lemon cake sweetness on the palate finsihing in light spice and a pinch of sea salt.

A stunning single cask anCnoc, exclusive to The Whisky Shop. This versatile sherry cask matured dram was distilled in 2006 and was bottled in 2022 at 57.6% abv. The expression is free from chill filtration and artificial colouring. Just 216 bottles of this fabulous whisky have been produced.

The nose has caramelised sugar, buttery popcorn and tangy citrus fruits complemented with aromatic flavours of spiced fruit cake. On the palate, there are delicate earthy notes, vanilla custard, and creamy dark chocolate with ground nutmeg and candied lemon peel before leading into the full-bodied finish with zingy fresh fruit and a warming spice.
