    Intense Arabica is the second release from The Macallan’s limited annual series, The Harmony: a collection which draws its inspiration from the natural world. The Macallan’s Whisky Maker Steven Bremner hosted a masterclass with world renowned coffee masters to inform his creation, and settled on the Ethiopian Arabica bean. Ethiopia being the birthplace of coffee, its only fitting that this bean is used for The Macallan’s first coffee-inspired whisky. The precious liquid is encased in a sustainable recycled box, made using coffee bean husks that would have otherwise been discarded. At 44% abv, the dram was aged in sherry seasoned casks to compliment the rich taste of coffee. 

    Expect aromas of decadent tiramisu, gingerbread, almonds, sweet oak and creamy vanilla. The palate leads to notes of rich espresso, dark cocao and raisins with hints of blackberry, brazil nuts and vanilla. The finish is that of a dark roast coffee, long, balanced and sweet.

    Oak runs through every facet of The Macallan and their exceptional sherry seasoned oak casks are the single greatest contributor to the outstanding quality, distinctive aromas and flavours of their whisky. This bottling (44.2% abv) was created by The Macallan Whisky Mastery Team, and was matured in a combination of first fill sherry seasoned American oak casks and refill sherry casks. 

    Expect the classic American oak flavours of vanilla, citrus and sweet oak, naturally derived from the cask during maturation, with a medium, sweet finish that delicately lingers.

    This extraordinary release features an exceptionally rare 1940 vintage, bottled in 2024. Matured for over eight decades, at 84 years old it is the oldest whisky ever released by The Macallan. Paired with this is the inaugural whisky from The Macallan Distillery which opened in 2018, a five-year-old single malt matured in sherry seasoned casks. 

    The vessel for TIME : SPACE is a ground-breaking dual chamber where the exceptional whiskies form the heart of the piece. The vessel is housed in a wood sculpture made of American and European oak, with a bold, 200-spike design that represents nature’s protection. Only 200 bottles exist, one for each year of The Macallan’s existence.

    TIME: SPACE 1940 Vintage boasts aromas of dark chocolate-coated ginger, sticky dates, leather, antique oak and hints of coffee on the nose, before a palate of charred pineapple, ginger, aniseed, blackberry jam, woodsmoke and resin. The finish is extremely long, with notes of dark chocolate and toasted oak. Bottled at 43.4% abv.

    TIME: SPACE 2018 holds vibrant notes of fresh green apple, ripe pears, sticky toffee, vanilla custard and soft woodspice on the nose, ewith flavours of baked apples, golden sultanas and buttery pastries on the palate. Touches of citrus and vanilla shortbread follow, before a creamy medium finish of sweet oak. Bottled at 54.9% abv.

The expression is made with 70% malt and a high proportion of Sherry casks, to create a distinctively West Coast whisky, and bottled at 46% abv. In addition, the sustainable label on the bottle was actually made from draff, a by-product of whisky production!

    Expect a nose of singed citrus peel, sea salt, stewed nectarines, hay bales and bonfire. The palate boasts flavours of rice pudding, white chocolate, brine and lime zest leading to a long and smoky finish.

The palate is smooth, flavours of red apple open to fruitcake and milk chocolate, before bright orange zest gives way to charred oak and a whisper of black pepper.     What can be revealed is the incredible flavours held within this liquid – bottled at a smooth 40% abv, the nose opens with sweet sherry and stewed fruits, lifted by soft ginger. Fresh bursts of citrus add brightness, while black cherry and poached pear offer depth and warmth. On the palate, it’s smooth, as baked apple flavours unfold alongside a delicate spice and mouth-warming touches of black pepper. As it develops, dark chocolate notes emerge, enriched by creamy toffee. The finish is smooth and medium-bodied, with lingering toasted oak rounding it all off beautifully.

Cask 459 began its journey as an American oak hogshead, seasoned with Oloroso sherry. To preserve its delicate balance, the whisky was carefully re-racked into refill hogsheads, where the slower maturation process unfolded gracefully. Bottled at a strength of 60.8% ABV, it is presented in its natural colour without chill filtration. The whisky offers rich caramelised brown sugar and dried fruit notes.

    GlenAllachie is best known for its unpeated Speyside single malt, but once a year the distillery does something a little different. Meikle Toir – Gaelic for “the big peat” – is a small batch, heavily peated spirit. Cask #9851 is a Pedro Ximénez hogshead, and the pairing of heavy peat liquid with PX sherry maturation is one of whisky’s most compelling combinations.

    Bottled at full cask strength of 64.5% ABV, expect a nose of smoked orchard fruits, raisins, and grilled honeycomb, over a palate of sweet espresso, fmanuka honey, and barbecued stone fruits, and spiced orange. Caramelised baking spices develop through the mid-palate.

    At 350 bottles, this is a genuinely limited release.

The Chinquapin One has been expertly aged in superior Chinquapin virgin oak barrels sourced from the Northern Ozark Region of Missouri, USA, before being bottled with a phenol level of 35mml and a strength of 48% abv. Free from chill filtration and at natural colour.

    Expect complex notes of smoked spices and toasted nuts.
