Description
Like the tiniest of seeds, Oban Distillery is one of Scotland’s smallest distilleries whose illustrious whiskies thrive with imposing character. This 10-year-old expression is matured in refill casks, before being selectively finished in newly charred American Oak barrels, freshly seasoned with Oloroso sherry, before being bottled at 58% abv.
Immediate sea air aromas of crystal salt and seaweed on the nose, followed by notes of oak, vanilla and lemon. The palate is appealingly thick, fruity and creamy-smooth, with notes of citrus, sea-salt and a whisper of gently peppery, oaky spice, before a medium-length spicy finish.
