A stunning vintage bottle of The Macallan. This dram from 1984 was matured for 15 years before being bottled at 43% abv. A rare piece of whisky history!

This single cask was released as part of the Easter Elchies Cask Selection. This 1997 vintage was matured for 13 years in a single sherry butt and bottled in 2010 as a distillery exclusive, rewarding those who made the pilgrimage to The Macallan estate, home of Easter Elchies house.

This is an exceptionally rare Macallan that has been matured in a European oak sherry butt for 14 years before being bottled at a robust 60% abv. Limited to just 643 bottles, the resulting dram is a perfectly rich and sumptuous dram that is free from chill filtration and artificial colouring. Outstanding work from Macallan, as always.

Distilled at The Macallan distillery as part of their Exceptional Cask range, this expression was distilled in early 2003 and spent over a decade in a European oak sherry butt. It was bottled in early 2018 with just 613 bottles filled and was originally available in the Americas, Asia and directly from The Macallan.

Expect aromas of cocoa, malt loaf, and ginger on the nose. The palate brings vibrant notes of baking spices and red berries before leading into the sumptuous finish full of spiced oak.

Part of the Sherry Oak range from The Macallan, this expression spent 25 years maturing in sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez. Bottled at 43% abv, this rich and sumptuous dram wonderfully displays The Macallan’s skill for hand-picking some of the finest casks from around the world.

The nose has bonfire smoke, cinnamon, and orange peel. The palate brings more smokiness alongside decadent notes of dried fruits that continue into the long and spicy finish.

A distinguished single malt with an intensely rich profile, The Macallan 25 Year Old Sherry Oak is beautifully led by European Oak, sherry seasoned in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. The liquid was left undisturbed for a quarter of a century, before being decanted at 43% abv. 

Expect aromas of dried orange slices, raisins, sultanas and apricot with ginger syrup and oak. The palate is full of rich dried fruits, black cherries and chocolate with hints of crystallised ginger and toasted almonds, leading to a lengthy finish with touches of oak. 

The highly-sought after Macallan 30 was exclusively matured in Oloroso sherry casks from Spain for three decades, and presented at 43% abv. The iconic Speyside distillery bottled this expression in 2021for a limited edition release.

Expect rich sherried notes on the nose, along with orange peel, clove and charred oak. The palate is a smooth one, with flavours of dried fruit, orange and a touch of smoke. On the close, the flavours of orange and spice linger on beautifully.

The exceptional Macallan Sherry Oak 30 Years Old is released yearly as part of the distillery’s Sherry Oak range which features a series of single malt whiskies matured in hand-picked sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez. This is the deepest and richest expression in the range, benefitting greatly from a three decade slumber. Bottled at 43% abv and presented in a sleek box.

On the nose we find aromas of sherry, citrus, nutmeg and wood smoke, leading to a palate full of dried fruit, orange peel and more smoke. The finish is long and rich, with more spiced orange notes. Think of pomander balls, and a freshly pokered wooden plaque.
