SPEY Beinn Dubh is a single malt Scotch whisky with a distinctive character. Crafted with water from the Cairngorm Black Mountain and finished in toasted ruby port casks from Portugal, this dram was inspired by the haunting beauty of Ben Macdui, the highest peak in the Cairngorms. The whisky captures the wild, mysterious essence of the region with the ruby port casks giving it its its unique colour – a rich, “ruby black” whisky. This award-winning single malt sits at 43% abv.

The nose boasts a bouquet or caramel, nuts and raisins, while the palate is thick with demerara sugar and cold brew coffee leading to a malty finish.

This luxurious Spey expression is named after the Chairman’s tradition of the Chairman selecting special casks on Christmas Day to share with the family. Aged predominantly in sherry casks, it’s bottled at 40% ABV, maintaining a balanced yet indulgent flavour profile. 

SPEY Fumare Cask Strength is a limited-edition, peated whisky from Speyside Distillers, marking their first-ever peated distillery release. Made using peated barley, which the distillery only employs for a small part of the year, this expression is matured entirely in bourbon barrels. With an ABV of 57.5%, it is non-chill-filtered and contains no added colouring, offering a pure and authentic flavour experience.

The nose reveals a subtle smokiness, while the palate builds on this with added vanilla sweetness, before finishing with a long, medicinal peat notes. 

This multi-award-winning whisky is the first-ever peated distillery bottling from Speyside Distillers. Crafted from peated barley, which is only used for a limited period each year, it is 100% matured in bourbon barrels. Bottled at 46% ABV, it is non-chill filtered and free from added colouring. With only 18,000 individually numbered bottles in this limited release, it offers a unique and rare experience.

Whiskeria’s favourite taster, Charles MacLean, describes it as “A golden hue, like vintage champagne.  A distinctly medicinal aroma – carbolic, coal tar soap – on a light & fresh maritime base of salt air, iodine & seaweed. Light texture, sweet & lightly salty, with a smoky, medicinal finish. A finish of bonfire smoke and sweet basil. This would be taken for an Islay malt, although it is lighter in body and better mannered than any of them. More-ish, light, elegant & smoky.”

Spey Trilogia is a unique expression paying tribute to Spey Distillery’s Fumare, Tenne, and Trutina releases. A marriage of miraculous flavours, this combines different cask finishes—Tenne in Tawny port casks, Fumare with a peated character, and Trutina in classic bourbon casks. This has then spent a final period in first-fill Tawny port casks before being bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration, this set is a journey through Speyside’s versatility.

Named after the Latin term for balance, SPEY Trutina lives up to its name with a harmonious flavour profile. A multi-award-winning single malt from the SPEY range, released in late 2016, this beautifully balanced whisky was matured in bourbon casks and bottled at 46% ABV. 

The nose offers notes of chocolate cheesecake, candied orange, and fresh barley, while the palate reveals layers of almonds, buttered bread, and orchard blossoms, providing a crisp and refreshing experience. The finish is characterised by notes of sugared fruit peels, leaving a satisfying aftertaste. 

Hailing from the revered Macallan distillery in Speyside, this expression was released by independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail as part of their Speymalt range. Distilled in 1997, it spent its entire life maturing in a single cask for over two decades. One of only 309 bottles, this whisky has been bottled at a strength of 52.5% abv.

Hailing from Macallan distillery in Speyside, the single malt has been aged in a single first-fill Oloroso sherry hogshead for a quarter of a decade. Bottled by Gordon & MacPhail at 52.8% abv, free from chill filtration. Only 322 bottles were decanted from the cask.

Expect aromas of stewed fruit, toffee and candied orange, before a palate of dark chocolate, sweet treacle and warming apple pie. A lingering charred oak finish rounds off this magnificent dram.

Bottled by Gordon & MacPhail, this is the definition of depth and refinement in whisky. A liquid from The Macallan that was matured in one refill sherry butt for 22 years, and one of just 495 bottles, this bold release was bottled at 58.8% abv.

This exceptional Macallan single cask has been attentively tended to and matured in the highest quality casks selected by Gordon & MacPhail. Bottled at a natural strength of 59.1% abv, this 20-year-old dram was matured in a first-fill sherry hogshead, and is limited to just 298 bottles.

Aromas of stewed berries, citrus and spices, followed by a palate of dried cherries, black pepper and chocolate and finishing off with toasted oak and a touch of raspberry.
