The SPEY Chairman’s Choice PX is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky matured in a combination of bourbon barrels and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, resulting in a luxuriously rich and fruity profile. Traditionally selected by the distillery’s chairman to capture the spirit of the festive season, it’s a smooth, elegant dram for any time of year.
Bottled at 40% ABV, it offers a well-rounded character with notes of orchard fruits, candied figs, and dark berries on the nose. The palate is full of indulgent flavours like plump sultanas, creamy chocolate, dried orange, and vanilla custard, with a hint of treacle toffee. A warming finish brings stewed fruits, spiced biscuits, and chocolate-dipped cherries, all wrapped in soft oak.
