Description
The exceptional Macallan Sherry Oak 30 Years Old is released yearly as part of the distillery’s Sherry Oak range which features a series of single malt whiskies matured in hand-picked sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez. This is the deepest and richest expression in the range, benefitting greatly from a three decade slumber. Bottled at 43% abv and presented in a sleek box.
On the nose we find aromas of sherry, citrus, nutmeg and wood smoke, leading to a palate full of dried fruit, orange peel and more smoke. The finish is long and rich, with more spiced orange notes. Think of pomander balls, and a freshly pokered wooden plaque.
