This single malt whisky hailing from Glentauchers distillery, has been bottled by Inverdarach Potstill Editions after spending 11 years in a single sherry butt. One of just 726 bottles, the Speyside expression is presented at 54.2% abv.

A rich nose of dark orange marmalade, Christmas cake and candied pecans alongside a floral edge of spicy, aromatic tulips. A palate of dried fruits, bramble jam, butterscotch fingers and clingy honey notes lead to a finish that lingers beautifully, while showcasing the sherrywood in spectacular style.

The second bottling of Inverdarach Potstill Editions, this Secret Speyside whisky has been matured for nine years in a single sherry butt. One of just 782 bottles, the expression is presented at 55.4% abv.

A stunning example of a sherry cask, the nose is soft and gentle with Christmas cake, sultanas, sliced almonds and a slightly floral note. The palate opens up slowly, revealing dried apricots and then exotic sandalwood and tea leaves. More floral notes on the finish, which lingers beautifully.

The Marsala Cask Limited Release is Isle of Raasay Distillery’s first-ever whisky matured in rare ex-Frazzitta Marsala Vergine casks. Bottled exclusively for us at The Whisky Shop, this peated Hebridean single malt from Isle of Raasay distillery has been aged in a single Oloroso oak barrique. Individually numbered as one of 576 bottles drawn from the cask, the expression boasts a hefty cask strength of 60.1% abv. Free from chill filtration and at natural colour. Made from Scottish barley malted with Highland peat, every drop of spirit has been distilled, matured and bottled on the Isle of Raasay.

Bottled at 40% abv, you get a nose of rich oaky ginger and smooth vanilla, followed by red apples and a lift of fresh citrus. The palate is rounded and fruity, offering soft notes of malt and ripe apple before a delicate wisp of peat smoke gently emerges. The finish is beautifully balanced and dry, with lingering hints of apricot that leave a refined, lasting impression.
