The second ever release from GlenWyvis distillery. The expression was matured in a combination of first fill Tenessee whiskey barrels first fill Oloroso hogsheads, and refill whisky hogsheads before being bottled at 46.5% abv.

The nose is particularly rich and sweet with white grapes. The palate brings zesty lemon, vanilla, and ripe pears before a long finish full of sumptuous dark chocolate and fresh berries.

Nestled beneath the sprawling mass of Ben Wyvis mountain in the Scottish Highlands, GlenWyvis is a new distillery that is owned by the local people of Dingwall. This is Batch 1 from their liquid distilled in 2019, which was matured for three years in a combination of first-fill bourbon (68%), speciality wine casks (17%) and re-fill whisky (15%). Presented at 46.5% abv, free from chill filtration and at natural colour.

Expect sweet grape and honeysuckle blossom notes on the nose, Bramley apple sauce and fruit crumble on the palate and a long finish of oak with dark chocolate and clove.

Hatozaki Triple Cask Reserve is a Japanese blended malt crafted by the Kaikyō Distillery under the guidance of Master Distiller and Blender Kimio Yonezawa. Bottled at 46% ABV and created from hand-selected malt whiskies, it brings together tradition and innovation. This expression was matured first in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, before being finished for six-months in rare umeshu plum liqueur barrels, a technique seldom seen in whisky making. The result is a whisky of depth, delicacy and unmistakable character.

Non-chill filtered and presented with natural colour, the whisky has a nose of fragrant oak spice, notes of black tea and bright orange peel, followed by dried apricots, vanilla and softly toasted barley, creating an inviting bouquet. The palate unfolds gently, bringing a refined mix of oak and nuttiness, lifted by dried citrus and sweet ume plums, with the mid-palate remaining light while revealing deeper wood tones beneath. The finish is long, rounded and beautifully balanced, carrying subtle sweetness from both the sherry influence and the umeshu cask finish, and leaving behind a warm, satisfying mouthfeel.

Bottled in 2023, this Hazelburn expression from the Campbeltown-based Springbank distillery was matured for 15 years in fresh Oloroso sherry casks. One of 9,000 bottles.

Expect initial aromas of leather, cocoa and toasted oak, with signature touches of damp coastal warehouse. The palate is richly sherried, with notes of espresso, toffee apple and treacle leading to a lengthy, rum-raisin finish.

The nose is particularly coastal with plenty of sea salt and citrus. The palate brings marsh samphire, fresh apples, and peat smoke before leading into the lingering, pleasant, and warming finish.

Bottled as a part of Hunter Laing’s Hepburn’s Choice Range, this expression was distilled at Benriach distillery in Speyside and then matured for 8 years within a single cask. Boasting flavours of spice, green foliage and almonds, the single malt is just one of 247 bottles, presented at 46% abv. Free from chill filtration and at natural colour.

Another cracking bottling from Hunter Laing! This Speyside dram comes courtesy of the Glen Moray distillery, and is one of only 253 bottles drawn from a single refill cask, making it unique, and an excellent collector’ s piece! Natural in colour and non chill filtered, this release was bottled at 46% abv.

Expect notes of meadow grass, lemon sherbet, and apples throughout.
