This twelve-year-old Speyside single malt is the latest release from That Boutique-y Whisky Company. Finished in ex-Oloroso sherry casks, this expression was bottled at 53.1% abv.

The nose is sweet and slightly herbaceous, with notes of aniseed shining through. The palate has notes of black tea, caramel, and hazelnuts with notes of baking spices emerging in the warming finish.

Released as a part of Hunter Laing’s Hepburn’s Choice range, this whisky showcases the glorious characteristics of the Speyside region. Distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2023, the Glentauchers expression has been matured in a single carefully selected refill hogshead for 12 years. Presented at 46% abv, free from chill filtration and at natural colour. One of only 391 bottles.

Expect notes of honey drizzled summer fruits on the nose, leading to a palate full of strawberries, raspberries, brown sugar and sweet malt flavours which linger on well into the finish.

The Glenturret 15 Years Old 2024 Release has been matured in a combination of Pedro Ximenez & Oloroso sherry casks, and bottled at a higher strength of 50.8% abv. American Oak imparts vanilla and candied fruit notes, whilst European Oak highlights darker, heavier dried fruit flavours and enhances the sweet wood spice characters evident in the glass.

Notes of raisins and sultanas on the nose, alongside touches of ginger and burnished oak. The palate brings sweet wood spices and brandy snaps, with a soft yet spicy rich fruit finish. 

From an extremely scarce batch of only 210 bottles, this incredibly rare 25-year-old expression is a part of The Glenturret’s 2022 release. The single malt was matured for a quarter of a century in trio of casks: two European oak butts and one refill Hogshead. A triumph from Scotland’s oldest working distillery, the whisky is a delicate balance between both intense and light flavours. Bottled at 42.2% abv and presented in a gorgeous embossed wooden box.

On the palate you will find spiced fruits, candied ginger, dark chocolate orange and rich deep oak with worn leather.

The 2023 Release Glenturret 30 Years Old is derived from a search for specific flavours which were found in five precious older casks in the distillery’s reserves. Two European oak casks, a port pipe and two American oak hogsheads imbue the expression with complex and sweetly rich notes over a period of three decades. Bottled at 42.7% abv, with an outturn of just 500 bottles.

Expect tropical and dried fruits on the nose, with a palate of banana, brandy snaps, sweet spice, red fruits and vanilla ice cream. The finish is particularly fruity, with shades of subtle oak.
