Description
Isle of Raasay Cask Strength Single Malt is an award-winning bold, full-powered expression of the distillery’s award-winning six-cask recipe, bottled at an uncompromising 61.6% ABV. Natural in colour and non-chill filtered, it delivers Raasay’s signature lightly peated style with all the depth and intensity of cask-strength whisky.
Crafted entirely on the island this limited release offers just 5,500 bottles worldwide. It showcases the distillery’s celebrated Na Sia recipe, in which peated and unpeated spirit are matured separately in Rye whiskey casks, virgin Chinkapin oak and Bordeaux red wine casks before being expertly combined.
On the nose, it offers gentle coastal peat, rich dark fruits and hints of oak-spiced sweetness, capturing the essence of Raasay’s unique cask mix. The palate is powerful yet balanced, bringing layered dark berry notes, subtle smoke and bursts of spice, all carried by the viscosity and intensity that only true cask strength can provide. The finish is long and warming, with lingering peat embers and deep, fruity richness that stay with you.
