The Dimensions range by independent bottlers Duncan Taylor is focussed on showing the multi-dimensional nature of distilleries both well-known and unheard of. This is no exception. This Auchindoun 13 Year Old Sherry Cask was distilled at the Auchindoun Distillery, which mysteriously keeps its specific location in Speyside a secret. Aged for 13 years in ex-sherry oak casks, this was bottled at a cask strength 55.4% in April 2021. A single cask expression, only 191 bottles of this were produced.

The nose gives subtle aromas of sweet vanilla, caramel and a nutiness. The palate is imbued with hints of toasted oak, dark cherries and figs. The finish is medium-long, and gives pleasing notes of tropical fruits, and oatcakes. 

From Gordon & MacPhail’s Discovery Series, this 11-year-old Bunnahabhain single malt Scotch whisky has been carefully matured in sherry casks. Bottled at 43% abv. 

Fruitcake and vanilla aromas on the nose, alongside sherry influences and zesty citrus notes. The palate is spicy, with flavours of cinnamon, stewed plum and orange marmalade leading to a smooth finish of milk chocolate.

An outstanding new addition to Gordon & MacPhail’s Discovery series. This Speyside dram hails from GlenAllachie and was matured for 14 years in bourbon casks. The expression was bottled at 43% abv.

This expression perfectly balances a variety of sweet and gentle flavours. Aromas of banana chips, Granny Smith apples, and chocolate mousse meet the nose. The palate brings lemon meringue pie, creme brulee, and heather honey before leading into medium finish with a smidge of spice appearing at the close. A simply outstanding dram.

Bottled by Gordon & MacPhail as a part of their Distillery Labels series, this golden expression hails from Ardmore distillery in the Highlands. The single malt whisky was matured for 19 years in specially chosen casks, and bottled at 46% abv. 

Notes of summer berries, ginger and toffee on the nose, with a palate of mixed spice, stewed apple, vanilla pods and hints of charred oak.

From renowned independent bottlers, Gordon & MacPhail, comes this brilliant Mortlach expression released as a part of their historic Distillery Labels series. The distillate hails from Mortlach distillery in the Speyside region of Dufftown, and was matured for 15 years by G&M.

Expect aromas of stewed apples, dates and mixed spice, leading to flavours of barley, strawberries and sweet poached pears. For the finish, we find new hints of worn leather and citrus.
