Another outstanding Oloroso cask finish by Darkness. This expression is a stunning limited edition 14-year-old dram from Dalmore, adding to Darkness’ ever-expanding collection of exceptional sherry matured fare. This dram arrives at 49.1% abv.

On the nose you can expect cinnamon, ginger, and apple pie. Aniseed, milk chocolate, white pepper, and toasted bread all make themselves apparent on the palate. The finish is rich and chocolatey with a subtle hint of espresso.

A powerful 18-year-old Glen Garioch. This rich expression underwent a three month finish in Oloroso casks before being bottled at 49.4% abv. A sweet and sumptuous dram.

The nose is rich with dried fruit and malt. The palate is spicy and woody, complemented by ripe plums and black cherry. This fruitiness and woodiness continues into the finish alongside sweeter notes of chocolate.

From their limited-edition intensely sherried collection, Darkness presents this gorgeous Glenrothes expression. The Speyside whisky has been matured for 13 years, including a finish in hand-coopered Oloroso octave casks. Bottled at a robust 59.9% abv.

Expect aromas of freshly baked all-butter croissants, cinnamon, honey and raisins, which lead into a palate reminiscent of a morning in a fresh bakery. Buttery pastries melt into malty sweet and nutty finish.

From their limited-edition intensely sherried collection, Darkness present this spectacular Laphroaig expression. The Islay whisky has been matured for 18 years, including a special finish in Pedro Ximenez casks. Bottled at 52% abv.

Expect salt, cream, spice and sweetness on the nose, along with peaches, smoky oak and Islay minerality. The palate is bursting with cloves, rich chocolate, overripe banana, stewed dates and peat that continues into the finish, balanced by maple syrup, mulled wine tannins and almond butter.

This 20-year-old Mortlach is one of the latest additions to the Darkness range. This expression has enjoyed a three month long finishing period in oloroso octave casks. This small cask gives the whisky a generous helping of sherried, fruity notes.

The nose is meaty complemented by sweeter notes of red berries and dark chocolate. The palate brings spiced oranges, cloves, and toasted oak. The finish is drying and full of espresso.

The Highland malt-maker, Deanston Distillery, has matured this dram in organic bourbon casks before giving it a finish in organic Fino sherry casks. Distilled in 2000, this expression enjoyed a long maturation before just 2,784 bottles were filled at 50.9% abv. 

This Deanston dram offers notes of stewed red berries, malt loaf, and dried fruits on the nose. The palate is waxy, with notes of black cherry, cocoa, and black coffee. The finish is full of cinnamon, crystallised pineapple, and milk chocolate.

The latest highly limited-edition release from organic Scotch whisky distillery Deanston, the Deanston 2002 20 Year Old Organic American Oak has been given the Gold award by the IWSC 2024 panel.

The single malt has been fully matured in hand-selected American oak casks which have been re-charred and toasted, giving it the signature Deanston character of subtle, waxy citrus. At a mellow 49.7% abv, this subtle and complex whisky is full of rich honeyed spice, stone fruits, and a long finish of cocoa.

Matured first in ex-bourbon casks from a family-run Kentucky cooperage, this Highland single malt from Deanston distillery is finished in new oak barrels adding subtle spice aromas to the zesty character.

The nose has a heady virgin oak note with citrus, barley sugar, apple and nutmeg. The palate has a delightful sweetness, candied fruits and vanilla toffee balanced with heather honey. The finish has a light spice with bursts of honeyed malt and oak.

Made in the old style that true Balblair fans will recognise, this 17 year old release from Decadent Drams was matured in a first-fill bourbon barrel from 2008 before at 56.2% abv.

You can expect a dram that’s packed with honeyed fruit, vanilla cream soda, gorse, and lemon curd, with a faint coastal lift. Rich and naturally sweet, it glides into a long, floral finish of fruit tea and coconut.
