Description
The Dimensions range by independent bottlers Duncan Taylor is focussed on showing the multi-dimensional nature of distilleries both well-known and unheard of. This is no exception. This Auchindoun 13 Year Old Sherry Cask was distilled at the Auchindoun Distillery, which mysteriously keeps its specific location in Speyside a secret. Aged for 13 years in ex-sherry oak casks, this was bottled at a cask strength 55.4% in April 2021. A single cask expression, only 191 bottles of this were produced.
The nose gives subtle aromas of sweet vanilla, caramel and a nutiness. The palate is imbued with hints of toasted oak, dark cherries and figs. The finish is medium-long, and gives pleasing notes of tropical fruits, and oatcakes.
