Tamdhu and sherry casks go together like peas in a pod, but rarely as close as in this Tamdhu Distinction. This limited edition release is a celebration of the relationship, and first-fill American oak sherry cask maturation. North American oak began its journey to Jerez, Spain, where the wood was crafted into casks over a long time. Finally, the Oloroso sherry seasoned the wood, and this is where the Tamdhu spirit enters the story. Rich fruity flavours shine in this single malt, a classic Tamdhu.

On the nose arises aromas of warm cinnamon, notes of vanilla, sharp citrus, and a hint of cherry. The palate is rich, full, and alive with chocolate, plums, dried fruit, dates, fruitcake, and subtle toasted oak. The finish is syrupy, sweet, and spicy.

The second bottling in its Quercus Alba Distinction series, Tamdhu Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky celebrate the art of ex-sherry cask maturation. The only distillery in Scotland to fully mature all of its single malt in Oloroso sherry casks, Distinction II highlights the especially nuanced flavour of American Oak Sherry casks. Bottled at 48% abv., this is a unique dram from Tamdhu.On the nose, Quercus Alba Distinction II delivers notes of malt, vanilla, spiced oak and fragrant orange peel. Along with a rich mouthfeel, the palate is full of dark chocolate and plum. As one would expect, a lingering sherried oak dominates; giving way to figs, cinder toffee and apple crumble.

A whisky that has waited as long as the fans, this expression was distilled in 1998, the very year Scotland last graced the World Cup stage. An exceptional 28 year old single malt from Glen Garioch, the liquid has spent nearly three decades maturing in a Bourbon barrel before being bottled at cask strength of 42.1% ABV. With just 134 bottles in existence, this release is almost as precious as Scotland’s return to the tournament!

Crafted for every Tartan Army supporter, this approachable 12 year old single malt from Tamnavulin has been matured in hogshead casks and bottled at 40% ABV. Released across a four cask batch, this is the expression that brings the celebration to all fans with outstanding quality at a price that ensures no supporter is left on the sidelines.

Released as a part of That Boutique-y Whisky Company’s Cinema Labels collection, this 13-year-old Aultmore expression spent most of its life in refill ex-bourbon casks before being re-racked by the independent bottlers into a single first-fill bourbon cask in 2019. ‘Fight Club’ is the movie inspiration behind this label, chosen as the liquid tasted ‘soapy’ to Boutique-y before further maturation. Presented at 50% abv and one of only 418 bottles.

Expect aromas of panettone, macaroons, grist and subtle citrus, with a palate reminscent of pilsner lager with a wedge of lime. Summer grasses and green tea bitterness follows, before a chalky, grassy finish lingering with pepper.

Released as a part of That Boutique-y Whisky Company’s Cinema Labels collection, this five-year-old expression from Nc’nean has been aged in an STR red wine cask. Based in the Western Highlands, Nc’nean is the first fully organic distillery powered by 100% renewable energy in Scotland. ‘Whisky Galore’ is the movie inspiration behind this label, which shows distillery founder Annabel Thomas leading her group carrying ‘Doug Treats’ (Doug being the premises resident dog). Presented at a natural cask strength of 60.1% abv.

Expect fragrant aromas of British summer hedgerows, nectarines, peaches, ripe apples, honey and some gentle spices. More sweet peaches come though on the palate, along with vanilla custard, summer grasses, liquorice and mixed spice. The short finish is sweet and fruity.

Bottled exclusively for us at The Whisky Shop, That Boutique-y Whisky Company present this magnificent 29-year-old Springbank expression. Distilled in Campbeltown in 1993, the single malt was matured within a single re-fill sherry Hogshead cask, before being decanted at 43.8% abv. One of only 136 bottles.

On the nose, gentle notes of peat smoke combine delicately with woody spices and soy sauce.  Subtle hints of Umami comes to fore on the palate, with a complex array of rich meaty characteristics that mix brilliantly with the smoky undertones that are a constant within this epic Springbank. The finish is complex and deep. Expect to encounter a welcome fresh sherry influence combined with further delicate waves of peat smoke, zesty marmalade and black olives.

This rare single cask release from The Hearach showcases the distillery’s signature coastal character in its purest form. Distilled on 22nd March 2018 and bottled on 16th June 2025, this bottling, which is exclusive to The Whisky Shop, comes from a First Fill Woodford Reserve Bourbon cask, producing only 252 bottles, making it truly limited edition.

Bottled at 59.3% ABV, this lightly peated single malt opens with soft waves of vanilla and creamy coconut, brightened by a twist of lemon zest and a delicate trace of driftwood smoke. On the palate, a gentle coastal sweetness emerges – sea salt and caramel fudge layered with rolling peat smoke, perfectly balancing richness and restraint. The finish is long and elegant, with lingering maritime notes intertwined with fresh vanilla and a glowing honeyed warmth that endures long after the final sip.

An exceptional Irish whiskey. This expression was made using a combination of single malt and single pot still Irish whiskey that is then matured in ex-bourbon barrels. This is a perfectly sweet and spicy dram that effortlessly balances a multitude of flavours.

The nose is spicy and vibrant, with notes of ripe pears and citrus. The palate is sumptuous and sweet with vanilla toffee and stone fruits which last in the lingering finish.
