Description
Released as a part of That Boutique-y Whisky Company’s Cinema Labels collection, this glorious 33-year-old Glen Garioch expression is an old-school Highland whisky – from the days when the distillery was floor malting their own malt using Highland peat. This whisky is inspired by the infamous 33-year-old Scotch in Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Inglorious Basterds’, where the British/American way of signalling 3 is used, catching out the spy when calling for a whisky. Presented at 46.2% abv.
Expect notes of overripe apples and green bananas on the nose, along with hints of camphor, pine and bread dough. The palate is simply sublime, with a distinct waxiness. Mulled cider, apricot compote and white pepper flavours fade to a long, honeyed finish with a little peppery spice.
