This single cask release was distilled at Daftmill Distillery in Fife, a farm distillery run by the Cuthbert family. Exclusively bottled for the United Kingdom, it was distilled in 2011 and matured for over ten years in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt. A total of 642 bottles were produced, with an ABV of 59.8%.

Expect vibrant fruit notes, floral nuances, and a well-balanced palate.

This winter release was distilled in 2011 at Fife’s Daftmill, a farm distillery owned and operated by the Cuthbert family, producing whisky seasonally during the farm’s quiet periods. This expression has been created using a combination of 27 first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, which were laid down to mature for over a decade before being decanted into just 7,500 bottles produced at a strength of 46% abv.

Bottled at 54.8% ABV, is a rare one-off release matured in Spanish ex-sherry casks. It reveals robust layers of dried fruit, baked apple and fragrant spice, with a mouthfeel that is generous and velvety. Elegant yet powerful, it showcases Speyside character at its richest and most expressive.

Released by That Boutique-y Whisky Company as part of their Boutique-y Records series, this Dailuaine single malt spent six years maturing in a sherry hogshead before being bottled at 57.9% abv. There are just 374 bottles of this whisky available.

Aromas of sea salt, buttered fruitcake, and cream meet the nose. The palate brings crystallised ginger as well as strawberry, red apple, and thick toffee. The finish is warm and satisfying with notes of baking spices.

The Dalmore 18 Year Old is a bold highland single malt, matured first in American white oak ex-bourbon casks and finished in Matusalem oloroso sherry casks. With a 43% abv, this is a magnificent new bottling from the fan favourite distillery. 

On the nose you will encounter notes of vanilla, dark chocolate and zesty oranges. The palate brings more sumptuous dark chocolate, citrus, nutmeg, and a hint of liquorice. Closing with a taste of light citrus and rich molasses. 

From the world-acclaimed Connoisseurs Choice range comes this Dalmore single malt whisky, independently bottled by Gordon & MacPhail exclusively for The Whisky Shop. Distilled in 2008, this expression has spent 13 years in a refill bourbon barrel before being bottled in May 2022 at 57.2% abv without chill filtration or added colouring. Highly limited, just 256 bottles have been produced.

A stunning new release from The Dalmore. This expression begins its journey in American white oak ex-bourbon casks where it spends an initial maturation. It is then moved into Fino sherry butts and first fill bourbon casks where the liquid spends a second maturation. The liquid is then married together in bourbon barrels and is finished in port pipes. 

Expect aromas of sugared almonds, Victoria sponge cake, and dried fruits. The palate is fruity with raisins and vibrant citrus zest before leading into the sumptuous and spicy finish with hints of cocoa appearing at the close.

Presenting the striking 2023 release of Dalmore 25 Year Old. This Highland single malt has been aged in American white oak, followed by a second maturation in Palomino Fino Sherry butts and first-fill bourbon casks. They are then married together in bourbon barrels first, and Tawny Port pipes second, before being bottled at 42% abv.

Expect initial aromas of figs and spongecake, followed by vanilla, marzipan, tropical fruits and a slight balsamic element. The fruity notes continue on the palate, with rich flavours of damsons, dates, raisins being lifted by zesty citrus peel and milk chocolate. The finish is sweet and spicy, with lingering brown sugar, gingerbread cookies and treacle.

Presenting The Dalmore 30 Year Old 2024 release, a truly timeless Highland single malt initially matured in American white oak bourbon barrels then finished in a unique combination of select Colheita and Tawny Port casks from Graham’s Port. Bottled at 43.8% abv, the whisky is presented in a stunning display case.

Aromas of Manuka honey, rich dark berry fruits, marzipan and cinnamon lead to notes of victoria plums, dark cacao, Maraschino cherries on the palate, alongside hints of coffee bean. The spectacular finish reveals notes of blood orange, moist ginger cake, liquorice and sugared almonds

This 2024 edition was initially matured in American white oak bourbon casks, before being transferred into 30 year old Matusalem oloroso sherry casks. This precious liquid was then blended with spirit which was matured in American white oak bourbon casks and then Graham’s Port Colheita casks from 1970, creating a whisky which is indulgent, smooth and complex. Bottled at 42%, the single malt is presented in a luxurious display case.

On the nose, there are aromas of cherries, plums, sultanas, toffee apple and vanilla beans. The palate shines with notes of orange peel, chocolate truffles, marmalade, and crushed walnuts, before a finish of black forest fruits, poached pear, caramel and dark chocolate.
