An outstanding single malt from Islay’s Bowmore Distillery. This limited edition cask strength bottling was initially released in 2000. The expression was matured in bourbon casks before being transferrred to port pipes to finish.

The nose is smoky and salty, calling to mind days spent having beach bonfires. The palate is woody with gentle hints of heather honey before leading into the dry finish.

Part of Bruichladdie’s extraordinary range of exploratory single cask releases, the Bruichladdich 10 Year Old Micro Provenance Cask #0065 was matured in a first-fill Saint-Estèphe (red wine) cask, using Scottish Mainland Barley.

Highly limited at only 212 bottles worldwide, this liquid was bottled at a stunningly strong 62.7% abv.

Released as part of Bruichladdich’s 25th Anniversary celebrations, Old Skool is a 10-year-old single malt crafted entirely from 100% Islay-grown barley sourced from 14 local growers. Matured in a combination of first-fill bourbon and first-fill Sauternes casks, this commemorative bottling is bottled at 50% abv, and stands as a fitting tribute to the distillery’s deep-rooted connection to its island home.

A heritage barley varietal release, the Bruichladdich Bere Barley 2013 uses Orkney-grown bere barley in its creation – one of the oldest agriculturally harvested grains in Scotland. Working with the University of the Highlands and Island’s Agronomy Institute since 2005 to reintroduce Bere barley to the whisky industry, Bruichladdich have here finally achieved that goal and produced a corker of a liquid!  

The release was matured for 10 years in a combination of first-fill bourbon barrels and second-fill Pauillac wine casks before being bottled at a smooth, yet not quiet, 50% ABV. On the nose, warm citrus, tropical fruit, and sweet malty flour. The palate delivers on those complex grains with unmistakably cereal notes of popcorn, and warm sweet porridge. The finish continues the sweet theme with milk chocolate, and crème brulee, with just a hint of mango and orange blossom honey.

The mysterious tenth release in Bruichladdich’s Black Art series. This whisky is shrouded in mystery – the cask recipe is top secret and has not been made public. What is known is that this is an enticingly sweet and decadent expression.

Expect aromas of cherry jam, toasted oak, and hazelnut chocolate. The palate brings dried fruit, gingerbread, and fresh vanilla before leading into a finish full of smoke, apricot, and candied ginger.

Part of Bruichladdich’a Micro Provenance series, this bottling is from their exploratory range of single cask bottles, all of which were hand selected by Head Distiller, Adam Hannett. The casks encapsulate Bruichladdich’s exceptional values of quality over quantity, provenance, and flavour over age – giving drinkers a snapshot in time for each cask, that Adam has singled out from their extensive inventory.

The liquid was created using publican barley, and matured in a cask which previously held Rivesaltes (a renowned French ‘vin doux naturel’, or naturally sweet fortified wine), before being bottled at 54% abv. 

Bruichladdich 2011 13YO Micro Provenance Fresh Oak Cask #0893 is a unique single malt Scotch whisky from the renowned Islay distillery. Bottled at a high ABV of 62.8%, this expression showcases the subtle influences of its provenance, including the barley type, climate, distillation process, and aging in a second-fill fresh oak cask. Distilled in 2011, and aged for 13 years, this whisky is a part of a limited release with only 246 bottles available. The barley used is of the Appaloosa variety, contributing to the whisky’s intricate and complex flavors. This exclusive bottling, from cask #0893, was bottled in 2024, offering a true exploration of Islay’s diverse whisky-making environment.
