The palate is slightly spicy with a gristy, peppery note before a medium finish with drying oak aspects.

    This is a 14-year-old single cask from Macduff Distillery, filled into a single sherry butt in 2006 and bottled in 2021 at 46% abv, free from chill filtration and natural colour. Only 756 bottles were produced.

    There are rich medicinal aromas of cough sweets – notes of honey, blackcurrant and menthol all making an appearance against a touch of sweet tarry smoke. Over time there is dusty chocolate, sweet nutmeg spice and dried flowers.

    The palate showcases flavours of dark chocolate with raspberry and coconut fondant, Turkish delight, liquorice and some Caribbean rum flavours. This is a dark, rich and luxurious whisky from a quality sherry barrel.

    Aromas of vanilla fudge and pineapple fill the nose. The palate is smooth and round, with crème brulée, fruits and yet more vanilla. The finish is long and sweet with a hint of fruit.
