    An impressive 33-year-old Islay single malt from The Character of Islay Whisky Company, this expression began its slumber in 1985 for over three decades, slumbering in an unknown Islay distillery, before being bottled at 46.3% without chill filtration or added colouring. 

    The nose is bursting with ripe tropical fruit notes and banana, with a wisp of peat and sweet vanilla. The palate is more coastal, with notes of salty iodine and wood smoke, giving way to sweeter flavours of mango, candied ginger and dried fruits. A bonfire continues in the finish, with lingering sugary sweetness and citrus.

The close is long and fruity.

The dram is free from artificial colouring and chill filtration.

    The nose is decadent with sumptuous forest berries and sherry-soaked oak. The palate brings raspberries, plums, and butterscotch. The finish is spicy with cinnamon and crystallised ginger.
