A wonderfully intricate Guatemalan rum. A true sipping rum, this was matured in a combination of sherry and bourbon casks. This expression was made using the solera system, which uses many casks each with a mixture of ages. This rum uses a blend of rums aged from 6 to 23 years and has won a multitude of awards over the years.
Expect a rich nose, with big swathes of caramel, toffee, bananas, orange, cinnamon spice, and cocoa. The palate is full of apple, cognac, vanilla, and dried fruits. The finish is long and smooth, sugary, with hints of smoke, honey, and sugary notes. Divine.
