Cask 459 began its journey as an American oak hogshead, seasoned with Oloroso sherry. To preserve its delicate balance, the whisky was carefully re-racked into refill hogsheads, where the slower maturation process unfolded gracefully. Bottled at a strength of 60.8% ABV, it is presented in its natural colour without chill filtration. The whisky offers rich caramelised brown sugar and dried fruit notes.

Dating to the Manhattan Club, New York, in 1874, this classic American aperitif was originally crafted with rye whiskey, but is now more commonly served with bourbon. Many variations exist, but the classic Manhattan consists of whiskey, vermouth and Angostura bitters, garnished with a maraschino cherry.
For our take on the classic Manhattan, we’ve paired Eagle Rare 10 Year Old Kentucky straight bourbon with Martini Rosso sweet vermouth, Angostura bitters and a twist on the classic cherry garnish with a cherry syrup.
Ingredients:
- 50ml whiskey
- 37.5ml sweet vermouth
- 2-3 dashes Angostura bitters
- 5ml cherry syrup
Method:
- Stir all ingredients together in a mixing glass with ice.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Meikle Toir 2021 First Fill PX Single Cask #9851
$75.00 Availability: In StockGlenAllachie is best known for its unpeated Speyside single malt, but once a year the distillery does something a little different. Meikle Toir – Gaelic for “the big peat” – is a small batch, heavily peated spirit. Cask #9851 is a Pedro Ximénez hogshead, and the pairing of heavy peat liquid with PX sherry maturation is one of whisky’s most compelling combinations.
Bottled at full cask strength of 64.5% ABV, expect a nose of smoked orchard fruits, raisins, and grilled honeycomb, over a palate of sweet espresso, fmanuka honey, and barbecued stone fruits, and spiced orange. Caramelised baking spices develop through the mid-palate.
At 350 bottles, this is a genuinely limited release.

Named ‘Meikle Toir’ (mee-kuhl tor) meaning ‘big pursuit’, this release is an exciting exploration of smoke and fermentation. Tapping into the ‘heart of the heart’ this liquid is crafted from the spirit cut of the distillate, meaning it has the highest phenol content. This liquid was then carefully laid down in Virgin oak casks and Oloroso hogsheads to mature, leading to a sweet, smoky and complex final release.Â
Bottled at 50% ABV, and 72PPM, you can expect a nose of Manuka honey, toasted caramel and smoked cedarwood, with butterscotch, treacle tart and spiced orange peel. On the palate, you’ll be greeted by heather honey, roasted hazelnuts and baking spices, followed by crystalised ginger, mocha and molasses, with smouldering oak, dark chocolate and warmed plum jam on finish.Â
