Matusalem Gran Reserva has matured for 15 years in a Solera system and made to the same family recipe for more than the past 140 years. A Solera system is a method first conceived in Spain, and consists of blending old and young matured rums in a process to create a reliable and consistent flavour profile. The resulting rum in this case is smooth and rich with hints of dark chocolate and fresh citrus.
