An exceptionally rare bottle of Speymalt 1950 from The Macallan. This stunning expression was bottled by Gordon & MacPhail at 40% abv. A truly special single malt.

This is a rare independently bottled release of Macallan distilled in 2005 and bottled by Gordon and MacPhail in 2019, at a strength of 43% abv. Please note that this bottle does not come with a presentation box. We have 30 bottles to allocate in this ballot.

Intense Arabica is the second release from The Macallan’s limited annual series, The Harmony: a collection which draws its inspiration from the natural world. The Macallan’s Whisky Maker Steven Bremner hosted a masterclass with world renowned coffee masters to inform his creation, and settled on the Ethiopian Arabica bean. Ethiopia being the birthplace of coffee, its only fitting that this bean is used for The Macallan’s first coffee-inspired whisky. The precious liquid is encased in a sustainable recycled box, made using coffee bean husks that would have otherwise been discarded. At 44% abv, the dram was aged in sherry seasoned casks to compliment the rich taste of coffee. 

Expect aromas of decadent tiramisu, gingerbread, almonds, sweet oak and creamy vanilla. The palate leads to notes of rich espresso, dark cocao and raisins with hints of blackberry, brazil nuts and vanilla. The finish is that of a dark roast coffee, long, balanced and sweet.

The fourth release in the Harmony Collection has been created in collaboration with Cirque du Soleil, and celebrates The Macallan’s mastery of oak.

Oak runs through every facet of The Macallan and their exceptional sherry seasoned oak casks are the single greatest contributor to the outstanding quality, distinctive aromas and flavours of their whisky. This bottling (44.2% abv) was created by The Macallan Whisky Mastery Team, and was matured in a combination of first fill sherry seasoned American oak casks and refill sherry casks. 

Expect the classic American oak flavours of vanilla, citrus and sweet oak, naturally derived from the cask during maturation, with a medium, sweet finish that delicately lingers.

Released as a part of Hunter Laing’s Hepburn’s Choice range, this whisky showcases the celebrated characteristics of the Highland region. Distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2023, the Macduff expression has been matured in a single carefully selected bourbon barrel for a decade. Presented at 46% abv, free from chill filtration and at natural colour. One of only 303 bottles.

Expect notes of vanilla bean and orchard fruits on the nose, leading to a palate full of yellow apple and creme brulee flavours which linger on well into the finish.

A 21-year-old Macduff that has been specially bottled for That Boutique-y Whisky Company. Highly limited, just 380 bottles of this delicious expression have been produced.

The nose is quite waxy and is full of rich dried fruits. The palate perfectly balances citrus with spicy, toasted oak before leading into the nutty, lingering finish.

Crafted by Gordon & MacPhail, this 12-year-old Single Malt is a testament to their 130 years of whisky expertise. The distillery of origin remains a closely guarded secret, adding an exciting touch of mystery, but what we can reveal though is that the spirit has been matured in casks produced to Gordon & MacPhail’s own specifications, with an unmistakable sherry-led richness.

On the nose, sweet vanilla, followed by raspberry, red apple and autumnal spices, while butterscotch and ginger unfold alongside soft hazelnut notes. The palate is smooth, flavours of red apple open to fruitcake and milk chocolate, before bright orange zest gives way to charred oak and a whisper of black pepper. The finish is pleasantly spicy, carrying underlying citrus tones and refined oak into a long, satisfying close.
