This 18 Year from Flor De Caña is an award-winning aged rum from Nicaragua. Celebrating 130 years as a producer of rum, this is a signature expression that attests to their quality. Aged for 18 years in small white oak casks, this is a full-bodied dark rum. A single modernist rum, this means that they use multi-column stills and make a lighter style of spirit.

With a recipe that has been passed down through a family legacy, Flor De Caña are also proudly sustainable, using estate-grown molasses, they are also a carbon neutral and Fairtrade certified distillery. Located in an area only five miles away from the nearest active volcano, this is bursting with naturally occurring flavours and minerals. notes of caramel, vanilla, spice, and nuts in an astonishingly mellow rum.

Forest Gin is made at a family-run distillery in Cheshire and produces a maximum of 85 bottles per batch. Its recipe contains juniper, coriander, vanilla pods, liquorice root, Angelica and plenty of foraged berries, all of which are ground by hand using a pestle & mortar before distillation. The resulting spirit is blended with spring water from the Peak District to create unfiltered London Dry Gin at 42% abv. 

This is a fragrant and earthy spirit with plenty of forest-floor flavours; subtle fruity notes, liquorice and a hint of cinnamon are detected on the palate before a lingering piney juniper in the finish.

Fortaleza Blanco Tequila is made with 100% agave traditionally stone crushed in a tahona, using natural spring water from Tequila Valley, and twice distilled in copper pots to give a crisp, creamy and fresh crystal clear tequila. On the nose there are aromas of citrus and baked agave with a buttery, olive oil, earthiness on the palate with cracked black pepper and vegetal complexity. Basil and lime come through on the finish which is long and aromatic. This is one for the tequila aficionado!

A must-have for rum lovers from the ten-time consecutive winner of the ISC’s ‘Rum Producer of the Year’, this Foursquare 16 Year Old Exceptional Cask Selection XXIX Mandamus is the fresh new addition to their award-winning Exceptional Cask Selection series!

A limited-edition release, this superb liquid is a masterful Single Blended Rum, crafted from both pot and column still distillates and aged for 16 years in a dual maturation of 10 years in ex-Bourbon casks followed by 6 years in ex-Tawny Port casks.

Bottled at a hefty 57% abv, Mandamus is non-chill filtered and free from sweeteners or colourings. On the nose, there’s a rich rush of blackberries, ripe pineapple, tart plum and cherries. Lots of sultanas, vanilla caramel, along with hints of ginger, hazel nuts, walnuts and blackcurrant vines. The palate continues these juicy fruit influences, with ripe black cherries, raspberries and Victoria plums. More sultanas and a hint of zesty orange. Finally the close brings notes of bitter chocolate and black tea, mixed with white pepper and a hint of chilli pepper warmth in the long lasting, toasty, gently smokey, oaky grip.

A single cask from Foursquare Distillery, this is a terrific find. Hailing all the way from Barbados, this is a limited edition, cask strength rum. Distilled in November 2005, this was bottled in July 2019. This is a release of only 267 bottles and is bottled at 63.3% abv. This rum is free from chill filtration and has a natural colour.

Expect rich, malty notes on the nose, with vanilla, Christmas cake, and buttery molasses. The palate is one of treacle, toasted oak, and rich, spiced fruit. The finish is long, sweet, and gives a little twist of campfire smoke. A lingering, delightful dram.

From Foursquare distillery in Barbados, this run has been made by combining pot distilled and column distilled rum, which has been matured in American white oak bourbon casks for 12 years. Presented at a robust 60% abv.

Lemon zest, caramel, and ginger on the nose, before a palate of treacle tart, vanilla ice cream, sultanas and victoria plums. The drying finish brings blueberry notes, alongside ginger, black cherry and a peppery spice at the very end.

Foursquare Distillery with another release in their Exceptional Cask Selection series. This expression is a seventeen-year-old blend of light and heavy rums. The tipple was matured in ex-bourbon casks at Foursquare Distillery in Barbados. Bottled at 58% abv, it is free from chill filtration and artificial colouring. It is a blend of pot and column distilled rum.

Expect aromas of Madagascan vanilla, banana, toasted oak, and coconut on the nose. The palate brings sumptuous lashings of dates, pineapple, and raisins. The finish is lingering and warming with notes of bonfire smoke and cloves appearing at the close.
