New to Arran’s core range, this annual release is limited to just 3,000 bottles. At the time of release it was the oldest expression available from the Island distillery, It has been matured for a quarter of a decade in sherry and bourbon casks. Bottled at 46% abv, and presented in a superb oak display case.

On the nose, we find notes of rich oak, subtle nutmeg, baked fig and black cherry, before a palate full of fruit cake, toasted almonds and cinnamon. Oranges, Manuka honey, muscovado sugar, baked apricots and an interesting white pepper note lead to a creamy, spicy finish of dark chocolate and walnuts.

Arran 25 Year Old 2024 Release is the oldest core range age statement available from the Isle of Arran Distillery, and an exceptional single malt that epitomizes the craft and elegance of its creators. Aged for a quarter of a century in a combination of American oak and sherry casks, this whisky is bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration or artificial colouring. The result is a refined, complex dram with a beautiful balance of rich malt, fruit, and oak. This limited edition release is a must-have for any serious whisky collector or enthusiast.

Distilled at the Arran distillery at Lochranza in the north of the island, this single malt is matured for seven years in first fill ex-bourbon barrels before spending a further two years in quarter casks, holding just 125 litres. These smaller cask allow for more interaction between the whisky and the wood, giving a more intense maturation. Bottled at 56.2% abv, this expression joined the Arran core range in 2019 with refreshed packaging.

The nose has characteristic Arran notes of citrus and sweet spice, with vanilla and cinnamon emerging. The palate is sweet and honeyed with vanilla, coconut and pineapple, before a long, sweet finish with lingering fruity aspects.

The second edition in a four-part limited-edition series from Arran distillery, Barrel Bonfire joins The Signature Series. The whisky was initially aged in bourbon barrels for 5 and a half years, before being moved to custom-made Quarter Casks from a tiny bourbon distillery in Chicago, Koval, for an additional 5 and a half years. The heavily peated single malt sits at 42ppm, and has been bottled at 50% abv. Free from chill filtration and at natural colour. 

There are notes of hazelnut, caramel, orange zest, vanilla and a rich dry smoke on the nose, which lead to flavours of spicy cinnamon and citrus on the oily, mouthwatering palate. The finish brings together spice, citrus, smoke, peat, vanilla, cinnamon and toasted oak in an ultra-smooth crescendo. 

The first of a new limited-edition series which showcases the diversity of Arran’s spirit, Remnant Renegade is a real snapshot into the world of Arran Single Malt over the years. A marriage of a kaleidoscope of casks, some from couple of years after the distillery was founded and some as recently as 2017, the majority are sherry hogsheads, sherry butts and bourbon barrels. Bottled at 46% abv, free from chill filtration.

The nose brings aromas of toffee apples, vanilla, cinnamon spice, star anise and strong orange blossom, before a silky smooth palate of light liquorice, menthol herbs, honey.

Released as a part of Hunter Laing’s Hepburn’s Choice range, this whisky showcases the glorious characteristics of the Speyside region. Distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2023, the Aultmore expression has been matured in a single Canasta butt for 12 years. Presented at 46% abv, free from chill filtration and at natural colour. One of only 427 bottles.

Expect notes of sweet cinder toffee and stoned fruits on the nose, leading to a palate full of singed brown sugar, roasted peanut and plum flavours which linger on well into the finish.

A marvellous Ballechin expression from Edradour. This expression was distilled on 26th August 2011 and spent ten years maturing in a bourbon cask before being bottled at a powerful 59% abv on 2nd March 2022. Just 313 bottles of this stunning dram have been produced. 

On the nose, there is honey-baked apricot, bonfire smoke, and nuts. The palate brings fresh herbs, vanilla, and burnt sugar before leading into the sweet and satisfying finish.

The Balvenie 12 Year Old Montilla Wine Cask is a distinguished addition to the distillery’s celebrated Collection of Curious Casks. Under the careful guidance of Malt Master Kelsey McKechnie, this Speyside single malt has spent twelve years resting in European oak butts seasoned with a luscious, sweet wine from Montilla in southern Spain. The result is a whisky of remarkable poise, where sweetness and spice are beautifully entwined.

Bottled at 47.3% ABV, you can expect a nose of barley sugar, which gently unfold into golden honey, delicately balanced by the richness of toasted oak. The palate begins with a candied sweetness, opening into indulgent layers of vanilla-laden oak, warmed by aromatic spice and enriched by the succulence of dried apricots. The finish is long and graceful, with honeyed oak lingering softly, accompanied by a subtle warmth of spice and a delicate echo of dried fruit that slowly fades into sweetness.

A whisky crafted with both tradition and innovation in mind, this 12 Year Old Montilla Wine Cask bottling is a testament to Balvenie’s restless curiosity and its enduring dedication to flavour.
