Description
Only very small quantities of ‘As We Get It’ are bottled at any one time because this quality of whisky is not always available. Each individual cask is personally selected by the Rare Malt Manager for bottling straight from cask. The whisky is not chill-filtered, and no water is added so it can be considered ‘pure and natural’.
Bottled at 60.4% abv, the nose is full of seaweed notes of salinity, smouldering beach bonfires, and the tangy greenery of freshly cut grass. The palate is sweeter than the nose would lead you to believe, instantly evaporating on your tongue in a swirl of sherbet lemon-tinged smoke, leaving a slightly oily residue reminiscent of seaside winds. The finish is fleeting yet full of white pepper spice that brings a pleasant warmth at the back of the palate.
