This Bunnahabhain 12 Year Old Cask Strength is an undiluted limited-edition dram inspired by visitor tastings in Warehouse 9.
Last years inaugural release of the cask strength version of the legendary Bunnahabhain 12 Year Old was a roaring success, and the second edition follows that trend but at an even higher strength of 56.6% abv. A richer, creamier, and more intense flavour profile shines with oak spice, marmalade and lots of dried fruits.
Aromas of milk chocolate, cloves, red berries and sweet dried fruits moves to a palate of toasted nuts, salted caramel, and cinnamon poached pears. The finish is long and sweet, balanced with bitter cocoa, cherries and a fresh salinity.

Expect a floral and nutty nose, with marzipan, hazelnut, almond cream and morello cherries. The palate reveals roasted nuts and spice, with butterscotch, toffee, sultanas and hints of coffee, before a lengthy finish of cloves, hazelnut and cocoa.

$127.00 Availability: In StockReleased to commemorate Fèis ÃŒle 2024, Bunnahabhain have taken their iconic unpeated Islay spirit and treated it to a three-year finish in Ruby Port Hogsheads. The 14-year-old limited edition is presented at a cask strength of 58.7% abv and is free from chill filtration.Â
An initial burst of dark chocolate on the nose, which fades to reveal toasted oak, cherries, plum and raspberries with a hint of caramelised walnuts. The palate is spicy but sweet, with flavours of cinnamon, nutmeg, pain au chocolat, redcurrants, pomegranate and sweet malt leading to a lengthy finish of cocoa and spice.

The name is Gaelic for “rough sea,” and it sets the tone for what’s in the bottle: bolder and more assertive Bunnahabhain.Â
Matured for 15 years, the liquid was finished in white port casks – a less commonly used finishing vessel in Scotch whisky – the influence of which can clearly be detected in the clean, vibrant profile.Â
Bottled at 51.6% abv, expect a nose of citrus peel and soft orchard fruit with honeyed malt, sea spray, and gentle toasted oak. The palate is bright and fruit-forward, with coastal character, gentle spice, and honeyed malt sweetness. On the finish, this is warm and lingering dram, with toasted oak spice and a final breath of sea air.

$120.00 Availability: In StockBunnahabhain is quite distinct from the other Islay single malts – firstly, it is created using unpeated malted barley in a time-honoured distillation process and secondly, this isolated coastal sanctuary takes advantage of the pure spring water that flows freely underground away from the peaty moorlands. This 18 year old expression adds sweet and spicy notes to the “fruit and nut” signature style of Bunnahabhain.
The nose is especially fragrant, with notes of dried fruit, honey nuts, toffee and light spice, leading to an intensely warming palate with more dried fruit, sherried nuts, rich oak and a tang of sea salt. A dry fruit finish with a hint of spice and salt.

Distilled in 1980, the liquid was first matured in Oloroso sherry casks before being transferred to sweet Canasta sherry oak. Only 1,200 bottles have been produced, each one at a cask strength of 49.5% abv and housed in a beautiful wooden presentation case with a quilted leather interior.There’s rich oak, dried fruits, figs, raisins and sultanas on the nose, all balanced with rich treacle, dark chocolate and vanilla. The palate has more rich oak, treacle and dried fruits, with black coffee and cocoa alongside roasted nuts and a touch of coastal brine. Bunnahabhain 1988 Marsala Cask Finish
$460.00 Availability: In StockThis 30-year-old single malt was distilled at Islya’s Bunnahbhain distillery on 1st December 1988. Matured for three decades, it was transferred to four Marsala wine hogsheads on 7th July 2016 and matured for a further two years. Bottled at a natural cask strength of 47.4% abv, free from chill filtration and artificial colouring, just 1,116 bottles have been filled.
The nose is rich and fruity with honeyed nuts and berries, floral aspects and a touch of candied fruit. The palate is well-rounded with notes of rich oak, honeyed nuts, dark chocolate and sweet grape, alongside vanilla, caramel and a subtle wood spice, before a long and lingering fruity finish.

Bunnahabhain 1997 Moine
$380.00 Availability: In StockPronounced ‘moy-n’yuh’, meaning ‘peated’ in Gaelic, this limited edition release from Bunnahabhain offers added peat to the more commonly unpeated whisky of the Islay distillery. Moine PX was distilled in September 1997 and matured initially in traditional oak whisky casks for 19 years, before being transferred to PX casks in March 2016. Just 1661 bottles were produced, all at a cask strength of 50% ABV and without chill-filtration or added colouring.Â
The nose is rich in sultanas, figs and dried fruit, followed by a burst of sweet berries. Roasted nuts and fig rolls develop in the palate, alongside a sweet mouthfeel of vanilla and caramel; a layered character, with light and fruity flavours developing into a pleasing, peppery smoke finish.Â

The nose gives aromas of barley sugar, sweet dates, and candied pear. The pear continues into the palate, complemented by cereal notes and dried fruits. The finish is strong and spicy before revealing a gentler floral note.
