This limited edition dram spent its first 13 years aging in bourbon casks in a tropical environment. Then, 21 barrels were selected and made the voyage to Charente in France, where the rum was aged for another year in Maison Ferrand French oak casks. This double aging technique, in both cask types and in climates, highlight a very expressive twist behind this rum. A complex dram, this is one to really sink your teeth and tastebuds into.
Aromas of stone fruits, such as peach and apricot, arise on the nose along with vanilla, coconut, raisins, and various floral notes. The palate gives hints of cooked fruits, citrus, and cacao. An oaky finish awaits, complemented by notes of citrus, and cooked fruits.
