An impressive, rare bottle from The Macallan’s Exceptional Single Cask series. This expression was distilled in October 1997 and matured until 2018 in an American oak refill sherry hogshead before being bottled at a natural cask strength of 54.1% abv. Just 187 bottles were produced.

Expect aromas of dark brown sugar, Madagascan vanilla, and toasted oak. The palate brings spiced wood, cocoa, and dried fruits before leading into the medium finish full of dark chocolate and espresso.

A covetable bottle from The Macallan, this 2012 edition is named for the Easter Elchies house on the Macallan estate.This special whisky was originally reserved only for those who made the journey to the estate in the Speyside region of Scotland. Aged for 13 years entirely in a Sherry butt cask, this limited edition single malt is one of only 400.  Bottled at 57.2% abv.

Distilled at The Macallan distillery as part of their Exceptional Cask range, this expression was distilled in early 2003 and spent over a decade in a European oak sherry butt. It was bottled in early 2018 with just 613 bottles filled and was originally available in the Americas, Asia and directly from The Macallan.

Expect aromas of cocoa, malt loaf, and ginger on the nose. The palate brings vibrant notes of baking spices and red berries before leading into the sumptuous finish full of spiced oak.

An Exceptional Cask expression from The Macallan. This 2005 vintage was matured for twelve years in a sherry butt before being just 492 bottles were filled in 2017 at a powerful 65.9% abv.

On the nose, there is creamy vanilla, cinnamon, and dried fruit. These flavours continue into the palate with plenty of baking spices at the fore before leading into the sweet and lingering finish.

Part of the Sherry Oak range from The Macallan, this expression spent 25 years maturing in sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez. Bottled at 43% abv, this rich and sumptuous dram wonderfully displays The Macallan’s skill for hand-picking some of the finest casks from around the world.

The nose has bonfire smoke, cinnamon, and orange peel. The palate brings more smokiness alongside decadent notes of dried fruits that continue into the long and spicy finish.

The highly-sought after Macallan 30 was exclusively matured in Oloroso sherry casks from Spain for three decades, and presented at 43% abv. The iconic Speyside distillery bottled this expression in 2019 in a rare, limited edition release.

Expect rich sherried notes on the nose, along with orange peel, mixed spice and charred oak. The palate is a smooth one, with flavours of dried fruit, orange and a touch of smoke. On the close, the flavours of orange and spice linger on beautifully.
