$30.00 Availability: In StockGlayva’s story begins in the docks of Leith in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1947. A local wine and whisky merchant, Ronald Morrison wanted to create a spirit that would warm and comfort his loyal customers during the cold Scottish winters. Blending together honey, cinnamon and spices, tangerines and blended Scotch whisky, Morrison created a liqueur so rich and smooth it was loved by everyone who tried it. In fact, when it came to naming the spirit, Morrison looked no further than the words of his warehouseman Hector. On first tasting the drink, Hector proclaimed ‘Gle Mhath’, which translated from Gaelic means ‘Very Good’. From this, Glayva was born and since that day, neither the spirit nor the flavour has changed. -

Originating from a vatting of ex-bourbon hogsheads, this expression was distilled in February 2006 and matured for 12 years. The fifth batch of Glen Elgin, only 1830 bottles of this have been made.
This is a weighty, complex dram. The nose gives hints of dried fruits, biscuit dough, toffee, and herbal notes. The palate is one of pineapple, vanilla cream, tropical fruits, and dried exotic spices. Expect a warming spice to settle in on the finish, with little hints of Christmas spices. A delight.

$318.00 Availability: In StockOne of the 2017 Special Releases from Diageo, this 18 year old Speyside single malt was distilled at Glen Elgin distillery in 1998. Assembled from two batches, one using Pombe yeast and matured in ex-bodega casks, the other using conventional cerevisiae yeast and matured in refill European oak butts, only 5,352 bottles have been produced at a cask strength of 54.8% abv.There’s sweet vanilla toffee on the nose, giving way to herbal notes of fennel and freshly cut grass, while candied nuts and polished oak mingle with cream and fresh fruits. The palate is smooth and sweet, with honey and brown sugar atop oaky spice and light cinnamon. The finish is dry and oaky with brown sugar and hints of anise. -

This single-cask expression has an abv of 46.9%, and only 79 bottles of it were produced.
From cask number 2765, this Glen Grant has a deep amber hue, and is a knockout in looks. Expect notes of sweet sherry, rich chocolate and sugary caramel on the nose and palate. $6,500.00 Availability: In StockOne of only 368 spectacularly rare bottles, esteemed independent bottlers Gordon and MacPhail present this grand 63-year-old Glen Grant expression. Named for George ‘Mr George’ Urquhart, the famous pioneer of single malt Scotch and member of the second generation of the company’s owning family, the Speyside expression has been carefully aged for over six decades in a single first-fill sherry butt. Presented at an impressive 56.5% abv, and free from chill filtration.
On the nose, expect sweet and spicy aromas of dried fruit, lemon zest, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate brings forth flavours of stewed berries, orange peel and fresh mint, with hints of chocolate and oak spice. A full finish follows, with a lingering fruity spice.

Glen Grant 1976 Private Collection
$1,295.00 Availability: In StockAnother top tier, and particularly rare celebration of one of Scotland’s lesser known distilleries. This is a 44-year-old single malt from the Glen Grant Distillery. Released as part of the Private Collection series by Gordon & Macphail, this single malt was distilled in November 1976 and bottled in March 2021. Aged in a refill American hogshead, this is a rich, full, unique dram. Only 40 bottles exist of this cask, making it incredibly rare to find.
On the nose, tropical aromas arise with honeycomb, coconut, vanilla, and dried banana. The palate is rich, with sweet fruit it coming to the fore along with Seville orange, almonds, and grapefruit. The finish is decadent, full, and long with lingering citrus and toasted hazelnuts.
