A decade after United Distillers decided to mothball the site in 1983, it was reopened in its current incarnation, and bottled as a single malt for the first time since the 1900s.

Digital Drams: Elements of Islay and Port Askaig Tasting
$25.00 Availability: In StockOur first Digital Drams of 2023 will be a celebration of Burns Night with Oliver Chilton, Head Blender at Elixir Distillers.Â
The tastings will take place on the 26th of January at 7.30pm and will focus on three releases from Elements of Islay and a Port Askaig 28 Year Old.
Elements of Islay champions the very best of whisky distilled on Scotland’s fifth largest island, and historic whisky makers’ hub: Islay. As to be expected, their creations are notably peaty, with a distinctive flair imbued by head blender Oliver Chilton. Independently bottled, their unique scientific-style labels celebrate the ‘elemental’ nature of Islay malt whiskies and the true alchemy of blended whisky. The drams are even bottled in glassware named a ‘pharmacy’. Each release from Elements of Islay is bottled at cask strength, and free from chill filtration, with natural colour.

Digital Drams: Glen Scotia 2023
$25.00 Availability: In StockThirteen months on from our last trip to Campbelltown, we are once again joined by Gary Mills to revisit a brand that has long been a W Club Favourite.Â
There are two exciting whiskies on this tasting that weren’t featured on the previous one: Glen Scotia 12 Year Old The Mermaid Icons of Campbeltown and Glen Scotia 15 Year Old. But since we last caught up with our friends from Scotland’s smallest whisky region, Glen Scotia Double Cask Rum Cask Finish was also scored high enough in the Single Malts 12 Years and Under at this year’s W Club Members’ Choice Awards to merit a Gold Medal!Â
Glen Scotia is one of the last three working distilleries surviving in Campbeltown. By 1929 only three distilleries remained open in Campbeltown: Scotia, Springbank and Ri-Clachan. In 2014 the Loch Lomond Group purchased the distillery. It has gone on to invest heavily in Glen Scotia to develop this legendary brand, increasing capacity, opening warehouses and creating a visitor center.

The Glenturret Triple Wood was named as the World’s Top Single Malt Scotch Whisky at the 2023 IWSC Awards, winning an Outstanding Gold Medal with a score of 99. We will be joined by Jamie Morrison, Global Brand Ambassador, and the event will take place at 7.30pm on Thursday, 9th November.
Founded in 1763, The Glenturret Distillery is located in Crieff, Perthshire, and is claimed to be the oldest distillery in Scotland. Using traditional processes, they combine the knowledge and experience gained over generations of distillers, with the creativity of modern experts to create unforgettable moments.

Digital Drams: Highland Park
$25.00 Availability: In StockOur first Digital Drams for March takes us from Islay all the way to the Orkney Islands. For the first Thursday of the month David Miles re-joins us to take us through five whiskies from Highland Park. Â
The tasting will take place on the 2nd of March at 7.30pm and will focus on five releases from Highland Park (listed below).
Highland Park emphasises its wild and natural surroundings of the Orkney Islands as being the main influences of its whisky. The distillery’s remoteness, wild but mild weather and its creative people come together to create the award-winning whisky.
W Club members pay less for this tasting and shipping is included. Each pack will contain 3cl samples of:
