One year on from the release of The Hearach, Isle of Harris distillery’s inaugural whisky, they present the second core expression in the range: The Hearach Oloroso Cask Matured. Entirely matured in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts for a bold and deeply aromatic spirit, the whisky is distilled, matured, married and bottled on the island. Bottled at 46% abv, free from chill filtration and at natural colour.

The rich dram features notes of orange peel, warming spices, fireside smoke, and toasted hazelnuts that evoke a cosy winter evening – an antidote to the cooler nights as the evenings become longer and the autumnal chill sets in.

The Irishman 12 Year Old Single Malt is matured solely in first-fill bourbon casks. Limited to 6,000 bottles each year, this treat of an Irish whiskey is bottled in a stunning bottle – with an accessible braile version of it’s name on the front. A full-bodied expression with an abv of 43%.

Expect aromas of sweetly spiced Vanilla, with apples and pears and some notes of charred wood and freshly cut hay. The palate bursts with rich vanilla, bolstered by black peppercorns and leading to fruity and cereal flavours. On the close, a complex mix of barley and oak with a lingering touch of fudge and dark cocoa.
