On the nose expect an array of complex aromas including notes of marzipan, Maraschino cherries and dark fruits. On the palate you’ll discover luxuriously deep sherry notes which are balanced perfectly with hints of liquorice, ground coffee and fresh cinnamon. The dram closes with a surprising tropical twist with notes of Mango and Papaya coming to the fore. This whisky also pairs perfectly with dark chocolate with the bitter notes of the chocolate complementing the complex sherry notes of the whisky perfectly.

This is some feat, and they have decided to create a dram that champions its own particular flair. This is distinctly Glenfarclas. A sherried, rich, chocolatey dram, the care and expertise can be tasted in every drop. This was bottled at a strength of 46% abv.Â
The nose is characteristically Glenfarclas, with a sherried richness leading into aromas of jam, banana bread, waxy orange and cinnamon. The palate gives notes of blackberry jam, freshly ground coffee, prunes and mint chocolate. The finish is one of jam jelly, polished oak, and fruitcake.
