Aromas of cereal, gooseberries, mango, vanilla, honeycomb fill the nose, before a palate full of fresh fruit, oatmeal, malted barley and orange, with touches of heather honey, toffee, cinnamon. The finish brings Campbeltown’s signature briny notes, alongside a hint of nutmeg.

$77.00 Availability: In StockThis release from Campbeltown’s Springbank distillery is a cask strength edition of the much loved 12-year-old. Matured in a combination of sherry and bourbon casks at a ratio of 70:30, this is bottled at a natural strength of 54.2% abv.
The nose is sweet with glazed cherries and coconut, alongside marzipan, treacle, honeycomb and cloves. The palate brings a spicier note with black pepper and cinnamon, as well as smooth dark chocolate, liquorice, vanilla and a touch of smoke. The finish is characteristic of Springbank with sea salt, almonds and caramelised sugar.

The nose is sweet with demerara sugar, dark chocolate, Christmas cake and almonds. The palate brings creamy notes of raisins, chocolate-coated Brazil nuts, marzipan and vanilla. The finish has sherry oak notes lingering with old leather.

The annual Campbeltown Whisky Festival couldn’t take place like normal due to the Covid-19 pandemic, so, they did a Virtual Open Day and this was one of the open day releases.
