Released to celebrate the 152nd Open Championship at Royal Troon, this special edition is one of only 4,500 bottles. Distilled using a combination of whisky from the distillery’s unique Straight Neck pot stills and more traditional Swan Neck stills, the expression was matured for 24 years in American oak casks, including a six-month finish in the finest Manzanilla sherry butts from Jerez, Spain. Bottled at 47.1% abv, free from chill filtration and at natural colour.

Expect aromas of honey, vanilla fudge, pineapple and candied citrus peel on the nose. Flavours of salted caramel, baked apple, lime, nutmeg and cinnamon shine on the palate, before a long finish of marzipan and soft smoke.

A limited edition release, this is the Lochlea 7 Year Old, the distillery’s third and oldest bottling! Matured in carefully chosen first-fill bourbon casks, and stored in traditional dunnage warehouses, the resulting liquid is a testament to Lochlea’s commitment to quality and provenance.

Sitting at 50% abv, you can expect a nose of beautifully creamy, fatty notes, and fruity stewed apples, leading into a palate of tropical fruits, fresh oak, and a touch of apple. The finish ties it all together with buttery pastry, cereal notes, warming spice, and tart green apple slices.

This limited edition Lowland single malt from Lochlea is their first ever age statement release, and their oldest bottling to date. Two of the five casks are from the new distillery’s very first filling in August 2018, with the types being two first-fill bourbon, a first-fill Oloroso sherry, a double matured PX sherry and a double matured Oloroso sherry cask. Presented at 50% abv.

On the nose, expect aromas of baked pineapple, brown sugar, hazelnuts and sourdough bread, before a palate of lemon zest, candied pear crumble and orange peel. Caramel with hints of black pepper, rose petals and leather round off this delectable whisky.
