Named after the people of Jura – the ‘Diurachs’ – because it’s their dram of choice and just like the Diurachs, it’s full of character. With such a proud and passionate heritage behind this whisky, it comes as no surprise that the Diurachs’ own symbol stamps every bottle with approval.
The double maturation results in a full-bodied malt with a Christmas cake flavour, lots of dark chocolate, rich dried fruits and candied fruit peel. A lingering, chocolate finish with hints of toasted oak.

Matured in a combination of American white oak, Amoroso and Apostoles Oloroso sherry barrels and bottled non-chill-filtered.

Jura 1988
$600.00 Availability: In StockDistilled on the isle of Jura’s eponymous distillery in 1988 and matured in small batch ex-bourbon casks for much of its life, this rare vintage has been finished in 20 Years Old Tawny Port pipes sourced from the Symington Family Estates in Portugal. Only 1,406 bottles have been filled, aged 30 years old, each one presented at a natural cask strength of 53.5% abv. The nose is mellow and fruity with brambles and dried currants alongside chocolate sponge cake and fresh coffee. The palate has more berries, with sweet butterscotch emerging before a liquorice note in the finish.

Jura 1989
$599.00 Availability: In StockThis limited edition single malt is part of the Rare Vintage series from the Jura distillery of the west coast of Scotland. Distilled in April 1989 and matured for three decades in American white oak bourbon barrels, just 1,500 bottles were filled for this release in 2019. Each bottle is presented in a striking wooden display case and bears an individual bottle number.
The nose is sweet with honey, pear, banana and vanilla. The palate brings a rich and syrupy peach note, alongside toffee apple and cinnamon spice, before a smooth white chocolate emerges in the long and satisfying finish.

$650.00 Availability: In StockA triumph from Jura, this single malt Scotch was aged for a 26 years in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, before being finished for a further three in Amoroso Oloroso sherry butts. This rare vintage is presented in a fitting wooden case, where it can be displayed up high and reserved for only the most special of occasions. Bottled at 46.5% abv, and one of only 900 bottles.
Expect aromas of tropical stoned fruits, almond butter and a hint of aniseed. On the palate we find notes of sweet berries, apple tart and creme brulee that linger on well into the finish.Â

Jura 20 Year Old Batch 4 That Boutique-y Whisky Company
$102.95 Availability: In StockThe fourth batch of Jura released by That Boutique-y Whisky Company has arrived at The Whisky Shop! Distilled in September 1998, the dram has spent 20 years maturing in a single hogshead before 198 bottles were filled at 48.8% abv.
The nose opens with florals, malt loaf, lemon zest, stewed pears, and thick cream. The palate has orange peel, golden syrup, passion fruit, and bread and butter. The finish is full of spiced oak, sea breeze, and heather honey.
