An excellent 15-year old rum bottled by Decadent Drinks in 2022 as part of its Rum Sponge collaboration. The expression was distilled at the esteemed Foursquare distillery in Barbados, and was created by combining two casks, one from 2005 and the other from 2007, and bottled at 57.1% abv. 

The rum explodes with exotic flavours of pineapple and coconuts, with hints of esters and ‘elastoplasts from the 1990s’.

Expect aromas of Demerara sugar, thick toffee, and fresh vanilla pod on the nose. The palate is sumptuous with cocoa and golden syrup before leading into the long, intricate, and peppery finish.

The nose is well-rounded with thick toffee and gentle herbal notes. The palate brings dried fruit, wood polish, and crystallised orange peel before leading into the earthy, gentle, and warming finish.

Another outstanding bottling from That Boutique-y Rum Company. This independently bottled tipple hails from a secret distillery in Barbados. Only 407 bottles have been yielded from this batch. This superb rum was matured for 21 years and it was bottled at a 52.6% abv. 

The nose is smooth with notes of honey and liquorice. The palate brings toasted almonds and black cherry alongside welcome earthy notes before leading into a finish full of florals alongside hints of anise and spicy ginger.
