Pusser’s Select Aged 151 Overproof Navy Rum

Produced at cask strength, this rum is produced in according to the regulations of U.K. Admiralty Regulations for rum that were in effect in 1970, where sailors were still given a daily ration of rum. Aged for a minimum of three year in ex-bourbon barrels, this dram is presented at a striking 75.5% abv. The dram is subject to chill filtration, primarily to enhance the smoothness of this powerful rum.
On the nose marmalade, marzipan, cinnamon, and tobacco combine with a big swathe of demerara. The palate is full, surprisingly rounded, with hints of fruit, leather, syrupy spice, and soft oak. The finish is long, memorable, and surprisingly smooth.

On the nose, there is sugar-coated almonds and milk chocolate. The palate has plenty of ripe apples, honey, and sticky toffee before leading into the long, sweet finish.

Rabbit Hole Heigold Kentucky Straight Bourbon

The Louisville-based distillery have released a sweet high rye whiskey that has been matured in slowly-toasted barrels before being bottled at 47.5% abv. The expression is free from chill filtration. The name “Heigold” is in reference to Christian Heigold, a German stonecutter who came to Louisville in the 1850s. Enjoy this whisky neat or over ice. It also works exceptionally well in many a whiskey based cocktail.
The expression opens with aromas of caramel and gentle notes of cinnamon. The palate is oaky with butterscotch and the finish leaves you with hints of citrus and warm spices.

Rare Auld Grain Strathclyde Sherry Cask 1990 30 Year Old
$207.00 Availability: In StockWholly unique. A fine 30 year old single grain whisky from the Strathclyde Distillery. Known for producing grain components for blends, independent bottlers such as Duncan Taylor have found a way to get their hands on some select casks from this distillery. This was bottled in the Rare Auld series in April 2021, after a 30 year maturation in ex-sherry oak casks. Only 248 bottles have been produced from this single cask expression. It is free from chill filtration and artificial colouring and arrives at a moderate 48.3% abv.
The nose is warm and fruity, with aromas of vanilla, apple pie, and oak. On the palate one can find darker flavours of ginger, nutmeg, grassy hay and brown sugar. The finish is long and sweet, of caramel chocolate, blackberry and sweet oak.

Rare Find Allt a Bhaine 24 Year Old

Allt A Bhaine is a distillery that was built to supply malt whisky to the Chivas Regal blend. In 1989, it was extensively expanded. This bottle is free from chill filtration and has a natural cask-imparted colour.
Distilled in 1996 and bottled in 2020, this 24 year old whisky is bursting with character. One of only 85 bottles, all sourced from a single-cask, Allt a Bhaine made its name as a distillery that sought to blend the fruity characteristics of Speyside whiskies with a hit of peatiness that you would typically find in the Islay distilleries. It has aromas of sweet citrus, vanilla, white chocolate, and fragrant spices. The palate is one of dark fruits, melon, coconut and vanilla. The finish balances delicate fruit flavours with exotic spices, with hints of malty, disgestive biscuits all combining to provide a luxurious finish. Take a dive into Speyside history.

Rare Find Islay 2006

It spent its fifteen years of maturation in an ex-bourbon barrel, and is bottled at a cask strength 52.1% abv. A punchy dram, this arrives without chill filtration or artificial colouring.Â
The nose this expression has is clean, with rich mineral aromas. The palate is complex, with notes of orchard fruits, grapefruit, and gooseberry, pairing with a wisp of smoke and creamy vanilla. Expect a long finish, with lingering citrus and smokey notes. Divine.

Rare Find Speyside 1982 39 Year Old
$408.00 Availability: In StockSomewhat of a ‘mystery malt’, this independently bottled Speyside single malt does not have the origin of distillation on the label; there are some clues to be found as to where that might be though… Distilled in 1982 and bottled 39 years later in 2021 for The Whisky Shop by Gleann Mór, this a stunning addition to their Rare Find series. Just 180 bottles were produced at 48.7% ABV, with natural colour and free from chill filtration.
The nose opens to reveal dried mango and angelica root, with sticky dundee marmalade and a hint of furniture polish. The palate is creamy and sweet followed by a long herbal finish with notes of milk chocolate.

Expect aromas of caramel, cinnamon and nutmeg, leading to a palate full of sweet spices like ginger, fennel and cinnamon, with touches of sherry, toffee and oak. The finish is a dry and peppery one, where the sweet spices linger on and on.
