Exclusive to The Whisky Shop London, this Arran 1996 single cask is one of the oldest expressions ever released by the distillery. Long-aged Arran casks are hard to find, as the distillery only began operating the year before in 1995. This expression spent 24 years lying in rest in a sherry cask. It is free from chill filtration and has a natural deep amber colour. Bottled at 47.8% abv, there are only 231 bottles available which are strictly limited to one per customer.

A rich, and juicy nose, it has flavours of macerated dried fruits, red cherries, dark chocolate, and this sweetness is paired with a savoury herbal character. The finish is warm and luxurious, both sweet and savoury, and with a lingering note of chocolate orange. This is a premium single malt that exemplifies the innovative spirit of the Arran distillery, and one we feel privileged to offer.

Nose: Hints of fresh orange, coconut and exotic spices.

Palate: A big sherry impact, expect a balance of dark chocolate, sticky toffee pudding and rich fruit cake.

Finish: A complex balance of refreshing fruit notes and a hint of exotic spices.

Distilled at the Arran distillery on the eponymous isle off the west coast of Scotland, this single malt has been matured for 21 years before receiving a limited release of 9,000 bottles worldwide. This first edition of the 21-year-old expression has been bottled at a strength of 46% abv.The nose offers ripe figs, prunes and dark chocolate. The palate brings a touch of ginger and grapefruit with soft spices and roasted hazelnuts before a long, warming and satisfying finish.

This 2020 release of Arran 25 Year Old celebrates the island distillery’s 25 years of distilling! This expression was initially matured in a combination of 35% ex-sherry and 65% ex-bourbon casks, and then re-casked in first-fill and refill sherry hogsheads before bottling at 46% abv. Just 3,000 bottles have been produced

The nose has rich oak, gentle nutmeg and baked figs, raisins and dark cherries. More fruit cake flavours develop on the palate, alongside orange zest, caramel, baked apricots and a hint of cinnamon. The finish is creamy and spicy with dark chocolate and fruit compote.
